We need to put maximum pressure on Schieffer. If one media superstar starts looking like they were part of a coverup, many more in the media will start squealing like pigs to make sure they aren’t accused.

If Scheiffer didn’t know anything about this story then first thing tomorrow morning he has to fire his producers for either being complicit with the Whitehouse or being too incompetent to do their job.

I was actually surprised when I was watching (flipping through) CNN earlier this evening and the newsie actually asked Ben Jealous why they didn’t criticize the New Black Panther Party. Of course, Mr. Jealous comes back with the retort that they’re a fabrication of Fox News and that there are “only 40 members” in the NBBP. Amazing, really.

Several years ago, I was headed to Corpus Christi for a conference, listening to Rush and he said some organization “accidentaly” sent his office a fax of talking points for the folowing week. I agree, someone needs firing and Bob needs to retire ASAP.

One of the wierdest things about journalists today is that so many of them are just flat out ignorant of basic current events and facts.

I think they invented all the previously non-existent Journalism schools and Journalism majors so that you could get a degree without actually knowing anything.

But Schieffer is from an earlier day so I have no idea what his excuse is. IIRC, the week before the election, Schieffer was remarking that nobody really knew who Obama was (which didn't prevent Bob from slobbering all over the floor at the mention of O's name).
