I'm watching "A few good men" right now for the gazilionth time"
You must be young.
It's been showing on AMC for the last couple of days.
Oh, thanks! That looks neat.
I just gave the “Thin Man” a listen and you are right, it really is well done.
Bookmarking for next rainy day.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Zulu
Good Bye Mr. Chips (1939 version)
She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
But Bogie was in some stinkers. The other night, we got "The Barefoot Contessa" from Netflix. Watching it once will be plenty good enough for me.
On the other hand, the movie I put off watching for years because it was so brutally panned by critics of all stripes, "3,000 Miles to Graceland" with Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell, has become a little bit like another movie I was certain I'd NEVER like, "Aliens," with Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn. Every once in awhile -- a couple times a year, probably -- I simply HAVE to watch it. It's like scratching an itch, like putting your hands out toward a toasty fireplace on a cold day. It simply has to be done to maintain proper order in the world.
"Aliens" is probably the most-watched "new" (as in, not an old b&w classic) movie on a long list for me. It's so bad that whenever I drive over the Grapevine between Bakersfield and L.A., and go through Gorman, I always look at that big "G" painted on the hillside and say aloud, "You always were an asshole, Gorman." That is, unless my husband is with me in the car, and he either beats me to it now or we both say it at the same time. It's HIS fault -- he's the guy who got me hooked on "Aliens"!
If any ruckus happens among a group of people, someone throws a fit or something, my husband will quietly observe: "Guess she don't like the cornbread, either."
I suppose we both need help. ;^) But we're happy in our addiction and it does no harm to anyone that we know of.
That’s the one they hauled radioactive dirt in from Utah or Nevada.
Most of the cast and crew got cancer and died because of it.
It was a stinker but John Wayne always player one character, himself.
I thought I was the only guy that had ever seen “Come and See.” It was a very powerful movie. This week, I also watched “Defiance.” It took place in Belarus and was about some Jews that faded into the forest and became partisans and kicked a lot of Nazi ass. Daniel Craig did an excellent job.
“Psycho” does scare me. I like “The Birds” more.
“Arsenic and Old Lace” is a wonderful movie.
The Cowboys was on AMC today!
Broke my back twice and then my hip once. But on my worst day I could be the hell out of you.

Just the expressions of Cary Grant are worth the watch, then add in the old little bitty aunts, Mortimer and Uncle Teddy and you have a masterpiece.
Directed by Frank Capri by the way.
I use to collect autographs, I still have most of them, Frank Capri's, Aaron Copeland, Jonas Salk, Sir Edmund Hillary, Lillian Gish, James Mason, Sir Lawrence Oliver, Sir John Gielgud, and Edward Woodward.
“12 O’Clock High” ran every day for a week in Mar 1960 on a Windsor, Ont., station across the river. I watched it every day when I got home from my “job.” The following Monday I drove over to the Air Force recruiter’s office on Grand River in Detroit. Also love “They Died With Their Boots On,” “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon,” “They Were Expendable,” “Back to Bataan,” “The Alamo.” I could go on. Most of my favorites were already mentioned here.
I don't know why, but I always watch that one when I can.
It still cracks me up.
Yep, that movie is worth watching just to look at Marisa Tomei(sp?). Not only that Joe is funny and does a great job as the lawyer.
