In a new campaign ad released today, Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) takes on the far-left agenda of President Barack Obama and stands firmly with the majority of Americans who support Arizona's new immigration law and are strongly opposed to the administration's lawsuit against it. The only problem is Senator McCain waited until Mr. Obama already had the power of the presidency to take a stand and say what needed to be said all along.

Personally,I wouldn’t walk across the street to piss on McCain if his pants were on fire.
Hopefully he will be forced into retirement after November 2.
My Friends ...
The late John McCain.
Has a certain ring to it.
I cannot believe that his opposition is not cramming him into the ground.
Hayworth needs better people around him. Savvy marketers.
McCain should be tanking
and to top being 2 YEARS too late..he is lieing his head off to get re elected
(Cartoon red eyes, wipes spittle from mouth, breathes heavily)
Palin has lost my support as I watch her turn into another Olympia Snowe or Collins
Gretta gave him about fifteen minutes of free face-time last night. It made me sick to think FOX would stoop so low. Hayworth should be offered equal time, imo.
Republicans and conservatives in AZ need to realize the damage Mccain has caused. The Democrats have control of America and may destroy it thanks to McCain-Feingold.
King MudDuck will take stagnation to a level such that we'll all be living (figuratively) in Louisiana's oily wetlands.
A good piece on McCain and moderates in general:

I havent seen it. I was an initial supporter but I think she has made some calls that have saddened this conservative heart.
It is truly an insult to the regular contributors on FreeRepublic to excerpt your own writing from your blog, just to generate hits.
Here are qualities I find worthy in Mrs. Palin:
Inspirational
One of Us
Fearless
Loves America
Respects our military
Loves Life
Wants to Win
and as I alluded to elsewhere, is a mother like so many other women in America who, by any honest assessment, will conclude our country is in real trouble, their families are in trouble, and we'll need all hands on deck, stat!
The storm this president is brewing for this country is becoming quite obvious with every day and we'd better be ready- with or without whoever I might prefer in 2012.
Rio Grande Juan has the big RINO money behind him. Lots of construction and agribusiness interests who want to suppress the labor market and cheat on their taxes at the same time (no better way to do that than by hiring illegal aliens). He’s even got signs up and commercials talking about border security. You’d never know Amnesty Juan was anything other than a champion of border enforcement, rather than the duplicitous pile of dung that he is. I know a great many AZ Republicans who will not stay home but will instead vote Democrat if Juan wins the primary. They’re that sick of him.

That’s nice, but on the issues I am concerned that whe will govern like Bush, or worse McCain. She admitted on O’Reilly that she is for Amnesty. That’s a deal killer for me and I did like her in ‘08.
snip___ ""Whatever it takes...no amnesty...keep it simple," vows Palin, annointed President Palin on The Factor. In spite of Bill O'Reilly's posited amnesty bias, in spite of overbearing interruptions, in spite of a battery of staccato questions with no chance to provide a full answer, O'Reilly failed to rattle Palin's resolve that protecting America's borders is a top priority, a national security issue. Sarah Palin delivered solutions the majority of Americans support : Secure the borders, enforce the federal immigration laws, no amnesty, American citizens get first shot at American jobs, and no repeating past mistakes - whatever it takes.""
end snip___
This doesn't reflect a pro-amnesty position to me.
If we continue to take-on illegals like a ship taking on water, no one benefits if it capsizes. If we could plug the border leak like the gulf oil leak, we could address the damages to our economy and society and begin the necessary bailing out that has been neglected for fifty years or so. But yes, it is a big disaster, much bigger than any oil spill.
