After 18 months in office President Obama finally called the radical Islam – radical Islam.
… what you have seen in terms of radical Islam is an approach that says that any efforts to modernize, any efforts to provide basic human rights, any efforts to democratize are somehow anti-Islam. And I think that is absolutely wrong. I think the vast majority of people of the Islamic faith reject that. I think the people of Africa reject it.
America gasped. Did he finally change his policy? Can we all now say ‘radical Islam’?
The political correctness is not the thing that Africa cares about when people there are being killed by terrorists so President Obama had to speak the truth.
President Obama was not talking to America so he didn’t have to do the dancing and the twisting around the truth. He was giving an interview to the South African Broadcasting Corporation. What do you expect Obama to say to Africa:
Those bombs are probably an isolated incidents?!?!
Let’s not jump to conclusions?!?!?
It is a law-enforcement issue!?!?!
Those man-caused disasters are causing problems?!?!?
Our overseas contingency operation is trying to deal with them?!?!?
The folks in Africa would have said: Are you still on cocaine? What are you talking about? The radical Islam terrorists just killed 74 people in Uganda, man! The folks were watching soccer. Al Shabab claimed they did it.
See, in Africa they don’t care about political correctness when discussing mass-murdering terrorists. Those folks want factual correctness.
