Barack Obama, the man who has continually said he “would not rest” until the “damn hole is plugged, and until “everyone has a job” spent this weekend vacationing in Maine, which is about as far away from the Gulf of Mexico as any of the fifty seven states he has visited.
If he bothered to come off the golf courses up there he will hear that the damage he planned to do to America’s Gulf of Mexico off shore oil industry is well underway.
Last week Diamond Offshore (DO) announced it can not wait for the Courts to finally hold the Obama Administration in contempt and order an end to its frivolous attempts to shut down all off shore oil drilling. This is an immediate move. DO is so determined to take Obama’s “No” for an answer that it is willing to take a $31 million early termination penalty hit as an to pack up and leave.
Diamond is sending its “Ocean Endeavor” drilling rig to the “friendlier” waters off Egypt. Apparently it would rather take its chances off the shore of the traditional home of the Muslim Brotherhood than deal with the economic terrorism of the Obama Administration.
While the typical oil rig of this size employs something over 100 workers, Diamond’s CEO said the Houston corporation, has made it clear that the uncertainties of the off and on Obama ordered moratorium will lead to other Diamond owned rigs leaving the Gulf as well.
Nevertheless, the greater danger to the Gulf’s economic health, posed ….departure of these rigs, is to the large number of vendors providing services to the drilling crews. Vendors and other ancillary service providers can number in the 1000s of workers.
Why invest in this climate?

I have never heard of the American people objecting when a Democrat goes on vacation. The media and their sheeple always says that the Democrat worked so hard that he needed some time off. And the American people, who can’t afford their own vacations, meekly agree.
I hope the messiah wannabee ditches J’s and the Muddy Rudder among others.
Ms C and I will do Arizona first, Maine later, if at all. We have summered in Maine since our Kids were small, now our eldest grandkid is in college.

Badcrack Obamao politicked a few days. Now he needs a vacation. It’s an Affirmative Action thing.
Perhaps Obama took his Magic Laser with him on vacation.
This should allow him to be in Maine, while still maintaining the focus he’s had since Day One.
We should be pleased with the~walk on the beach~”shovel ready jobs” he has been able to ‘create and save’.
Can you even imagine the personal conflict he must have felt in having to choose between taking a vacation or going on another rigorous Apology/Bowing Tour?
Look, his family deserves a vacation, considering how exhausted they must be from all of the work that is involved with tending to their vegetable garden and walking the dog.
Have any of you judgmental folks even considered all the work and stress that’s involved in hosting a weekly party at the White House?
I think you racist crackers should leave this hard working man and his lovely family alone. Creating miracles and transforming a free country takes a lot of work... he needs a vacation.
Besides, Michelle may be trying to be proud of her country... one state at a time.
He’s been spending trillions, heck, I get stressed and worn out when I am forced to spend just one hour shopping with my wife.... it’s difficult to imagine how tough it must be for this great leader of all the people.
Please remember, he’s doing all of this for us... and ‘hope and change’ isn’t easy.

Umm. Not to nitpick the author’s post but Obama’s vacation isn’t until next weekend - this weekend he just played golf and hid out in the White House.
