Being an in your face kinda gal, I always admired the no-nonsense approach indicated in Missouris unofficial sobriquet: the Show-Me State. But the sense of plain dealing that name conjures up is missing from this latest dog-and-pony show coming out of Missouri, involving an unknown candidate for the Republican U.S. Senate primary who is hitching his campaign wagon to the passions he hopes to arouse with complaints the MO Secretary of State discriminated again him by compelling him to prove he is an American citizen or else she would remove his name from the ballot.
It all began when jbjd blog cheerleader, Michelle, sent me this video of an interview with U.S. Senator wannabe Hector Maldonado, conducted by Karen Berka from Branson Radio on July 5. Watch for yourself...
Catch anything funny about this?...

sleight...
She speculates that he was not even asked for his BC, when she never asked him for the letters
This ENTIRE article would have been a waste of time if she had only called him and asked “Let me see the letters requesting your Birth Certificate”
Instead she spends an entire article speculating on whether or not he really received such a request.... ASK HIM
orchestra, Thank you so much! I was up all night finishing this and I couldn’t find anyone still awake to help me proof this! Phew, glad you caught this.
ADMINISTRATOR, please, can you correct the spelling in the title from “SLIGHT” to “SLEIGHT”? Thank you so much.
Let me see if I understand your objections to this story. As the research I assembled establishes, Mr. Maldonado gave interviews a month apart, in June and July, claiming the MO SoS issued written demands in May that he show proof he is a U.S.citizen or, forfeit his place on the ballot. No documentary evidence exists in the public record that he produced such written demands. And neither of the 2 (two) interviewers requested such evidence. Yet you believe my conclusion that no such evidence exists, is false. On the contrary, you contend more likely such evidence exists and that, for some reason, he is keeping it hidden from the public. Further, you will only credit no such evidence exists if I request this evidence from Mr. Maldonado, and he fails to produce.
Do I have this right?
I have to say.... I also am failing to see what your point is here. You seem to believe conspiracy is afoot, but to what purpose?
You have in fact made a claim against the man’s personal integrity and without having asked to view the letters he said he received.
Just what is it you believe Mr Maldanado is up to and what evidence makes you so convinced?
The fact that his interviewers did not ask to see the letters is not evidence that they do not exist.
So why the direct accusations? what else is there that you’re not telling us? Because the ‘evidence’ in this article is not evidence of anything.
Okay. However, in my mind, applying your logic regarding the existence of Mr. Maldonado’s document, to Mr. Obama; would result in a finding, we have to take on faith, that is, sight unseen, his documentation exists, too.
And I would imagine, that is a conclusion you would reject.
Yes, thank you. orchestra corrected this upthread; I am trying to catch the attention of the ADMINISTRATOR.
ADMINISTRATOR: Please change “SLIGHT” to “SLEIGHT.” Thank you!
Your imagination is too active... I do not assume Mr. Obama's documentation does not exist, but I do wonder why he works so hard keeping it secret and therefore have a suspicion that the information within those documents contains at least a few details he is adamant never be made public.
Let's at least give Mr. Maldanado the respect of requesting the documents and then see if he also spends nearly a million dollars fighting that request and keeping the documents secret. I don't claim to know anything at all about Mr. Maldanado other than what is included in this article of yours and the video at the link. But, from that much, I see that he's a military veteran, that he's running for public office and seems to deserve the benefit of doubt unless and until someone can prove otherwise.
I rather suspect you have more information, or at least more suspicions that you're not providing here, because as it stands, your article is a direct attack on the man's integrity with nothing whatsoever to back it up.
This reflects more on you than on him, so please tell us what ELSE there is to make you so convinced he's up to no good.
The exception you mention was an exception to personally appearing at registration if you are on active military duty. It is NOT an exception for the types of documentation necessary.
Further, the types of documentation required do not explicitly say only a birth certificate will do and those requirements do not explicitly state that proof of citizenship is required (although that would seem a common sense thing to check). Those published requirements are only for IDENTIFICATION, i.e. to prove you are who you say you are.
Looks to me like the Secretary of State was tipped off that Mr. Maldanado was born in Mexico and she smelled a chance to knock at least one opponent off the ballot.
Simple as that. Where's the evil scheme on the part of Mr. Maldanado?
So, here I am defending a man I know very little about but only because you've attacked his integrity with apparently less knowledge than I have, an incorrect reading of your own research and you're clinging to your conspiracy theory like you know for a fact he's up to no good. So, help me understand why you think this? Because "common sense" would indicate to me that the Democrat Secretary of State is simply trying to knock down an opponent without facing him at the ballot box (something similar to the Barack Hussein Obama came to be a Senator in Illinois)
You don’t get it. You wrote, “The exception you mention was an exception to personally appearing at registration if you are on active military duty. It is NOT an exception for the types of documentation necessary.” Exactly. The only reason the SoS would wait until May to question eligibility documentation, when such documentation is required during the in-person registration, is if there was no in-person registration. But certainly, at some point before the primary ballot was finalized, the candidate would have to appear to provide evidence s/he was the candidate.
As for requiring evidence of U.S. citizenship, well, we only have Maldonado’s word. I don’t believe him.
The story is factual. It is **not** directly related to Obama’s eligibility but does naturally lead a person in that direction.
If Rush, Levine, Hannity, Beck and the rest of the loud mouthed talk show hosts ignore this, then ( for me) they have proven they are cowards and phonies. Their commitment to the Constitution, **ALL* of it, ( even that itty-bitty phrase about being natural born) is a millimeter deep.
If Rush, Hannity, Beck, Levine, and the rest, fail to cover Maldonado's story, then personally, I am convinced they are phonies and cowards. In the face of real tyranny they will do one of two things:
1) They will be AWOL hiding and shivering in a corner.
2) They will actively sell their talents to the fascist propaganda machine and spit shine the jacks boots crushing our faces.
uh... so there is ONLY one possible reason the Secretary of State would do this in May? now you're all knowing and can instantly rule out any of hundreds of other potential reasons? Gimme a break.
"You dont get it" You're right, I don't get why you jump to only one possible conclusion and simply assume it's perfectly obvious to all rational thinking adults. I am assuming you have more to tell us, something to help me understand why you have focused on this ONE potential reason out of many. I am trying to give you a chance here and you're not biting. Soon I will be forced to simply assume you're an idiot (but I haven't done so just yet)
So, you don't believe it's even remotely possible that a Democrat who happens to be running for exactly the same office and happens to be in a position to (unfairly) knock her competition off the ballot might do so? You seriously can not see that as at least a possibility? Seriously?
It must be me... perhaps I should have another cup of coffee before reading further.
This entire thread is attracting posts which are completely nonsensical.
Care to take another swipe at your message here, perhaps break it down so 51 year old geazers like me can tell what the f&*k your message is?
On the contrary, I think the real story here is this. Hundreds of thousands of people who understand massive election fraud tainted the 2008 election are so desperate to get someone, anyone to hear them, they accept sight unseen the story of a heretofore unknown candidate for the U.S. Senate primary, much in the same way millions of others gravitated to Obama; somehow believing he can get their story out.
“Show me” the registered letter. (By failing to display this letter but only insist it exists, he demonstrates he lacks the forthright quality to represent the citizens of the “SHOW-ME” state.
Well if you say so, then it just must be true.
I also agree that the brazen fraud committed to get Obama in the White House cries out for coverage, and our weenie conservative press consistently fails to cover it. There is tremendous pressure, frustration, and quiet fury building behind that ice jam on the news that Rush, Levine, Hannity, Beck, and the rest, have helped create on Obama’s natural born status.
Personally, I am more ticked with our conservative media than I am the mainstream media. Hey! At least I knew the mainstream media were snakes. Perhaps Maldonado's story will be the means to break through this media silence, maybe not.
Finally,...I read through some of your old posts on other threads. I agree that perhaps the best way to get at Obama is indirectly by focusing attention on the secretary of states, Nancy Pelosi, and the possible fraud aspect of Obama’s occupation of the White House.
