On July 1, Barack Obama spoke of the immigrants who helped build our countrysuch as my great-grandparents. They passed through public health screening, obeyed the law, worked hard, and never got welfare benefits. They learned the English language and American history. Some even carried the Constitution of their beloved adopted homeland in their pocket throughout their lives. They asked only for the opportunity to contribute.
Should we, as Obama suggested, break down the bureaucratic barriers that hinder such people? Absolutely. That is not what the controversy is about.
The issue is illegal immigrationlawbreaking. Controversy is inflamed by marches of angry people, aggressively waving a foreign flag, insulting Americans in a foreign language, and demanding to take back the property and earnings of Americans....

And they didn’t wave the flags of the “old country” while demanding citizenship and its attendant rights. Also, during athletic contests, they didn’t boo the US team and the American anthem while cheering on the team of the countries they fled.
Yea, back then those were immigrants that filled out paperwork, answered questions and followed the process. Nowdays the definition is jumping a fence, sneaking through the desert or swimming a small river in the middle of the night to have anchor babies, steal jobs, commit welfare fraud and identity theft while marching in mass demonstrations for non-existent rights.
And we wonder why mexico is a perpetual $hithole? Could it possibly be that the reason is its full of mexicans?
This will not end well.

“Only a smallpercentage of immigrants built the US. There have been more citizens who were born in US soil lived and worked hard, and died on US soil than immigrants, bya facotr of 7. It is a myth that immigrants built the US, beccause the US was built by US citizens! From the founding of the country in 1776 until today, the total number of U.S. immigrants those granted legal permanent residence in the country is estimated at about 72 million. In comparison, the total number of births during this period is 483 million, or close to seven times as large as the number of immigrants.”
