Now we know the Illegal Alien population of Arizona
99% of these anchor babies are conceived to make the illegal alien parents eligible to receive government freebies for the “family”. Period. “American” has nothing to do with it. It’s about free money and healthcare.
In some cases, a couple of generations have passed. Their children, born here, aren’t citizens?? Of course they are.
The rules with regard to “anchor babies” need to be revised. It might have worked back in the day when most everyone came through Ellis Island. Doesn’t work so well nowadays.

Amendment 14 shows the danger of a written Constitution. When a mistake is made in the wording, it is almost impossible to correct.
Take a minute to consider the reason the whole “anchor baby” problem exists. It started as a way to ensure citizenship for children of recently emancipated slaves. The children of men and women who had suffered, alongside their families and friends, the scourge of slavery. It was a way to protect them and ensure that upon their freedom they would not be cast aside and ignored because they were strangers in a strange land. It was meant to mend the wounds and protect their futures.
And now look at it. What was once a good and noble thing is being used to take away from the descendants of those men and women who toiled beneath the crack of the whip and suffered the whim of slavery’s cruel masters. People who HAVE a country are fleeing its corruption and danger, bringing their troubles into our homes, and taking advantage of the Amendment meant to protect the rights of those who would have had nothing.
And it’s sad to say, but black Americans are GIVING away their legacy when they support the invasion of illegals.
But then, many don’t care about history or facts. Most of them wouldn’t sag their pants if they knew where that came from. If THAT slips by, why would they care about the anchor baby problem?
I’m a legal American citizen and I must show my ID when:
1. Pulled over by the police.
2. Making purchases on my department store credit card.
3. When I show up for a doctor’s appointment.
4. When filling out a credit card or loan application.
5 When applying for or renewing a driver’s license or passport.
6. When applying for any kind of insurance.
7. When filling out college applications.
8. When donating blood.
9. When obtaining certain prescription drugs.
10. When making some debit purchases, especially
if I’m out of state.
11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.
I’m sure there are more instances, but the point is that we citizens of the USA are required to prove who we are nearly every day!
Why should people in this country illegally, be exempt!!!!!
For that matter, perhaps the liberals can answer the question: Why shouldn’t we guard our borders as closely as every other country in the world does?

Maybe in a perfect world where we could trust our elected reps to do the right thing it would be rational to amend the contitution to accomplish this. I’m skeptical, however, that if we remove the establishment of citizenship by being born here, a runaway congress and executive might twist it and use it against whomever they want.
I think a rational immigration policy that is elastic enough to accomidate our needs would solve the largest part of our problems without giving rise to consequences we can only imagine. When we have a free for all on the southern border all of the other consequnces from that are offensive but I think it’s very important that we solve the right problems without creating new ones.

None other than Felipe Calderon says that his people illegally in the United States are still Mexican with Mexican rights and protections, and US laws require that if a Mexican is arrested, we have to notify their embassy/consulate and allow them access to the culprit. Doesn't sound like unlimited "jurisdiction" to me.
And also explain why the children of diplomats, foreign military, and others resident in the United States are NOT given birthright citizenship.

No, you are absolutely wrong. “Subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” means the country of which you are a citizen. This is the reason tribal Indians are not considered citizens of the U.S. under the 14th Amendment, they are subject to the primary jurisdiction of their tribes. (An Act of Congress gave most tribal Indians a non-constitutional citizenship right in 1924.)
A Mexican illegal is “subject to the jurisdiction” of Mexico. His children are not citizens of the U.S. If you read the statements of the drafters of the 14th Amendment, they made this clear. This is what the drafter of the 14th Am., Senator Jacob Howard, said about the citizenship clause:
“Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country.”
The 14th Amendment is now being interpreted exactly the opposite the way it was intended.
Giving citizenship to illegal alien jackpot babies is a modern day perversion of the 14th amendment.

The 14th Amendment was created insure that freed slaves were not denied access to their now full rights.
The USA is only one of about 34 countries that grant citizenship based on geography.
