Some of those items seem pretty trivial to adorn a list about the ‘Downfall of America’.

#40) In the U.S., the average federal worker now earns about twice as much as the average worker in the private sector.

This is the one that's the most disturbing to me. Pampered govt workers riding on the backs of the overworked private sector -- and the fact that the Democrats are the party of govt unions -- is a theme the Republicans should be hammering day in and day out.

32) According to a new report, Americans spend twice as much as residents of other developed countries on healthcare, but get lower quality and far less efficiency.

Bullshit! we get the best healthcare in the world here. Bar none!

Honestly: I would believe Pravda before Time, Newsweek, or the WaPo.

It’s sick, but it’s true.

This list could easily be expanded ten fold. That begins to tell you how bad things are.

I noticed several items on the list that seemed rather . . . . . er, DUBIOUS to say the least.

IMO, the English version of Pravda is different from the Russian version only in the fact that it can be read by Americans. Other than that, Pravda is still the Russian counterpart of the New York Times and even dead fish are begging to NOT be wrapped in the New York Times!!!

Yeah, it’s bad, and before you know it, we’ll be Russia.

(#7) Right now, interest on the U.S. national debt and spending on entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare are somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 to 15 percent of GDP. By 2080, they are projected to eat up approximately 50 percent of GDP.

I draw SS and I am sick of it being called an entitlement. I worked and paid into SS ever since I was 16 freakin' yrs old. So did my husband. Now we are being accused of taking welfare. Thats not the way it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be that they held our money till we retire then give it back to us in monthly checks. I don't care if we live longer and draw more money than we paid in. Lots of people die and never draw a dime. It all is supposed to balance out. Maybe the government spending our SS money is why there isn't enough to go around yet we senior citizens get accused of hurting the economy for taking our own money!
