Here is video of former President Bill Clinton saying that the 1st priority of the U.S. Government in the Gulf Crisis is to “fix the leak.” Looking for someone to blame should be put off until the leak is fixed, most of the oil is prevented from reaching shore, and until the oil that reaches shore is cleaned up. Only then, he said, should the focus be on holding people accountable.
Clinton also said it may become necessary for the U.S. Navy to “blow up the well” to stop the leak on the floor of the Gulf. He said that can be done without using a Nuclear Weapon.
Wow! Compared to Obama, Bill Clinton sounds like Winston Churchill in terms of leadership! (Did I really say that?)

I would say, yep, you got that right... but poor ol Hillary got it as bad, if not worse, from the old horse himself... no pity from me... id be nice to see them all get smashed by their own politicking.

It would have to go down through 10,000 feet of seabed along side the casing ,I just do not see that ever happening.

Quite possibly not. When the Russians successfully nuked a gas well they inserted the device near the well's shaft and below an impermeable rock stratum that confined the blast and enabled it to crush and seal the shaft. We might well need similar geology here. To discuss the question of Obama's birth certificate (??), we need to know the Hawaii statutes when he was born; similarly, we need to know the well's geology to discuss knowledgeably whether it can be blown up safely.
Clinton knows about as much about the oil “bidness” as a pig knows about “Sunday”!

Does anyone know what is the point in drilling a "relief well". Won't you wind up with two holes gushing the same amount of crude (or perhaps even more)? Are they expecting the flow to split between the two well heads? Would reducing the flow rate in the damaged bore give them a better chance of plugging the blow out?
I would think that any consideration of using nuclear explosives would be rejected as too many unknowns and insufficient control to be able to guarantee results.
