President Obama's image of leadership flounders in the Gulf of Mexico. While Governor Jindal displays the true qualities of leadership, our president is stuck in Saul Alinksy gear, demonizing a foreign corporation instead of actually doing anything constructive. Disgust at Obama's genuine incompetence at this genuine ecological disaster stretches across party lines and the ideological spectrum.
Barry blames Bush for everything about our dismal economy. A partisan rubber-stamp Congress has given Obama the wild and wasteful expenditures which his childish, failed, quasi-Keynesian witches' brew prophesies will spend us into prosperity. It hasn't worked. Now, oddly, congressmen facing electoral apocalypse have stopped writing our wise leader a blank check against the federal treasury.
Wearing the hat of Commander in Chief, Obama explicitly sought a general in sync with his plan to end the war in Afghanistan. Then, when General McChrystal snickered too publicly at Obama's cartoon leadership, the president replaced him with the old Bush team -- the man Obama and his pals three years ago were calling "General Betray Us." Does this cause a "willing suspension of disbelief" in Obama?
The nomination of radical leftist women to the Supreme Court simply reinforces the image of Obama as a closet Marxist. His cabinet choices reinforce this image of radicalism. The American people, during Obama's administration, profess to be conservative -- and increasingly conservative according to Gallup, a poll that already shows that conservatives outnumber liberals in every single state of the Union.

Maybe we should start a “Where Did Our Barry Go?” effort...and ask why we can’t have the pre-campaign Barry back. This would confuse the media and probably confuse half the Democrats.
This awful President was elected on an ‘America Sucks’ campaign. Now that he is in it does not work as well.
‘Closet Marxist’? Barry was never in the closet. People who took the time and trouble to check out his record, his pals, mentors, knew exactly what he was.
I’m not sure how much people actually “like” him - he’s just not a likeable person - and how much many Americans simply believe they like him because they are told 24/7 by the press that they like him. That is, the press loves him and keeps informing the world of how much Americans like him, and I think some of these people actually believe what the press is saying about them. They feel a mild twinge of guilt at even thinking that they may, deep down inside, not like him.
As you say, there’s nothing to like. The only group that probably does genuinely like him is blacks, and they only like his suntan and probably his wife; they’re very defensive about him, and no matter what, they’ll never abandon him as long as he plays up to them by having rap parties at the WH, talking about basketball and throwing them a few dollars from his “stash” every now and then. It doesn’t take much for some people...
That said, I think if he loses the media, he’ll lose the public. But the press and other media have staked their entire professional careers on him, between getting him elected and supporting his every bumbling or dictatorial move, and I honestly don’t know what it would take to get the media to abandon him.

Obama has been caught at so many lies one wonders if he can tell the truth (even on small, unimportant things). Obama is nothing if not a liar!
Furthermore, "likability" is NOT an important quality of a president or national leader. Respect for, confidence and faith in. Those are the important issues...and Obama ain't got 'em.
Likability counts only when ALL other issues are equal.
That said, this guy is not likable. He's a snooty, Haahvahd lawyer, who has NO friends who aren't either crooks or radicals! And he has shown a complete disregard (disrespect) for American voters. He rams down what he wants and the voters be damned.

They say he's likable. I disagree -- and you've listed good reasons why he's not likable. Certainly he has no history of attracting lots of friends.
They say he's smart. Well, we have no academic or legislative track record to bolster this. I just don't see him as anything but a mediocre talent.
They say he's a great communicator. Nope. He reads words off a teleprompter with some skill. I've seen him in debates, interviews, and town hall meetings. He's a disaster when he speaks his own mind.
And yet, a lot of people think he's incredibly great. It's got to be the skin. People love him because he's a magic negro. That's going to carry him through 4 years of the presidency?

The media are such shallow thinkers, they probably believe that about themselves, so they continue to praise Barry in order to not feel that they themselves are racists.
