The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15 (see trends).

How could only 40% strongly disapprove? This guy and congress are destroying this country. Millions of Americans have given everything to give us the formally freest and most successful country in the world, and we just vote that away?
I think the fact that minorities, especially black and Hispanics still overwhelmingly favor him, it gives him a kind of artificial buoy. Even when Clinton was struggling with approval, he was struggling across all demographic groups, which allowed Clinton to dip below 40% at times. Obama, at least for now, doesn't have that worry. It's really the only reason that beating Obama won't be a forgone conclusion.

But as Barone and others have pointed out, in congressional races blacks and hispanics are clumped because of gerrymandering. We can only hope Obama gets crushed by the new congress in 2011.
25% of Americans have the brains of a pile of dog doo.
I said years ago that at some point, you'll be able to tell a person's political party by the color of their skin. That day may be coming pretty soon.
That's a good point. The minorities are helping Obama's personal approval rating, but tactically, they aren't going to be beneficial at all to the Congressional races.
Well, depending on the color of skin, that day is this day.
That's not a bigoted or racist comment, just an observation of fact. You can't have 95%+ of a certain racial demographic vote for a particular candidate and say that it's not related to race. Of course it is. If 95% of white people had voted for McCain, what do you think the narrative would have been from the media?
Watch the POTUS create a massive push for immigration reform because of this.
He will legalize crime just for an election.
Without the nutrients.
IIRC, Barone also said that if you subtract 7% for the blacks zerO has only about a 39% approval rating, overall.
Only if they're dark-skinned. Many whites side with liberals for reasons unknown. Too many actually, yet I've never actually seen a black side with us other than on TV.
The OJ Simpson verdict was a real eye opener for me. I worked in a place where the majority of employees were black you guessed it, gov't. Anyway I thought there were a few who might truly be conservative. They annoounced the verdict when we were all gathered in a conf. rm. on a separate issue and every black stood and cheered when the not guilty was announced, every single one.
That's why we can't take 2010 elections for granted. You have those idiot liberals on every side plus fraud = danger.
If you want my opinion, which you may not, Rasmussen has been fooling with the numbers since he was taken to task early in the year by the dimwits who accused him of being biased towards the Republicans. Every time the numbers go really bad for Bozo all of a sudden there is a bounce and he gets better. While I could see the strongly approves moving around the strongly disapproves shouldn’t be moving that much. 40 is about as low as they have ever been. Yesterday and the day before he was at -15 also but disapproves were about 43 and the approves were higher, now the strongly approves drop to 25 and the disapproves drop with it. This is BS, IMO.
Amen
Making a Comeback was -20 a couple weeks ago
I think we're there, CB. How in the HELL could Hussein have a 91% approval rating among blacks (Gallup's numbers) if it wasn't about race? Extremely sad that so many are seduced by the race card.
