The Washington Post is now reporting the Al Gore-Redheaded Masseuse story. Surprisingly, they track how the National Enquirer report relied "heavily" on the documents behind the accusation, and point out the care taken before letting the story go to press.
Gore and his attorneys have been trying to sweep this under the rug since 2007 and again in 2008. There can hardly be an "I don't remember" defense.

Told my hubby I can’t IMAGINE that tub of lard coming towards me! I like the word “galoot” as well as “lummox.” Both words have Gore’s pic by them in the dictionary.
Very good. I like it.
What does Juanita Broadderick have to do with Henry Hyde?
Actually, she could sit right where she’s at. Among Dems she’s seen as a hawkish (relatively) and at State she keeps involved with our allies while Bill glad hands. She’s not lost Jewish support, either.
She waits until the Obama disaster unfolds fully in November and jumps ship in early 2011. The problem is the Chicago Machine is very powerful with both deep pockets and friends in high places.
Worse for us - we win in Nov., conservatives demand rapid change and we swing too far over letting Obama use it to his advantage - moderating the loony right-wing.
Ideally, we should take sensible actions to retain the House for generations. If we could hold it we can walk the pony back into the barn.
The Commerce Clause and the General Welfare Clauses are ripe for picking. There is strong scholarship refuting the current SCOTUS interpretations and moving us back towards Madison’s original intention.
Just like gun control and the 2nd Amend. the truth is on our side. If we use caution: set spending to grow no faster than inflation + population, lower taxes and reduce onerous regulation on business (especially small businesses), and dismantle departments starting with Education and Energy (simply devolve the funds to the states and make it competitive, then zero growth the budgets to phase them out over time). If we do that we will hold the House for a generation or two and America will be on her feet.
We need to be seen as within the mainstream. Educational liberty is the first place to break the yoke of statism.
Americans vote with their pocketbook first. If we get jobs started again, put money back in people’s pockets and show them that we’re not out to hurt children, women or minorities we’ll hold the House long enough to make a difference.
On an other note:
Italy: geologists may be charged for not predicting earthquake
by Walter Olson on June 26, 2010
Experts who told LAquila city officials there was no risk of an earthquake six days before last years catastrophic quake are under investigation for gross negligent manslaughter, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Name of lawsuit: Bush vs. Gore.
This amounts to an amusing embarrassment of Gore and nothing beyond that, but it’s still hilarious coming from Prince Albert the Warmer. If Gore was truly innocent in this he’d be denying he was ever anywhere near this goofy broad. Instead he’s in “no comment” mode which indicates that the masseuse actually was in his room at 10:30pm providing what he must insist was a purely innocent after hours rub down. This is something that could be verified no doubt. What happened after that we’ll never know, but how many wives want their husband ordering a late night massage from a woman while traveling alone, even if they swear it’s only to alleviate the tension in their sore inner thighs lol. No wonder Tipper hit the road.
I listened to the entire audiotape and it is compelling, to say the least. She sounds entirely believable.
You must be a man. And I say that as a Conservative woman. I have been in positions like that and I can’t imagine what it would be like with someone as powerful as Gore. Plus, you have to realize that although it sounded like a long time, the actual time this all went down was very short. I believe her. It’s been years with no money. Why would a man like Gore ask for a massge so late at night? He was drunk, and he wanted some company. I think that’s pretty damn clear.
