The New York Times this week published a story based on an interview with the former Florida governor. The main point of the story was that his brother, George W., subscribes to the code that former presidents dont criticize their successors, so Jeb is the one rebutting the Obama administrations blame for the economy, the deficit, the oil spill and other national calamities.
But the story also speculates on the prospects for Jeb running for president, as soon as 2012, as someone who can reposition the party nationally and make its more strident ideology palatable to the wider American electorate. It notes that Jeb opposed drilling off Floridas shores, and supported immigration reform.

Absolutely not under any circumstance. Go away.
I think Jeb is the best of all the Bushes. Having said that, I don’t want another one. Give America some new blood.
Even though W was targeted by the leftists from that 12/2000 day the SCOTUS declared the election over, he undid himself on many fronts as well. Therefore I don’t care to ever see another President elect from the family of GHWB. That sentiment would apply as well to that Clinton family!
Pass.
Jeb Bush ????????? HELL NO that Open Border Spanish loving American hating Cretin, Please go away!
No more family dynasties!
No it is well past time the nation moves away from this presidential dynasty. There were and are too many Kennedys, we don’t need Jeb. He might have been a good gov of Fl but we need new conservative blood..
I’ll consider Michelle Bachman for a start.
God forbid.
President Jeb Bush?

President Jeb Bush?
No, thanks. Voted four times for Bush presidencies. I’m done now.
Just because he’s a Bush has no merit whatsoever.
No because he is an amnesty lover and not a big fighter.
I think Jeb did an excellant job as my Govenor.
I also think he believes in his brothers compassionate conservativism B.S. (it didn’t work).
Jeb also is in favor of amnesty.
As a conservative I will not support Jeb.
There isn’t one candidate in the top 100 who is genuinely interested in returning America to a Constitutional Republic, so what difference does it make? They are all going to subordinate the interests (and finances) of US citizens to globalist imperatives, so Jeb Bush would make as good a figurehead as any of them. Better than most, perhaps, since the Islamists at least still retain some fear of the family.
If that is true, then Obama will get another 4 years to continue his destruction of out country.
Hard to swallow but true. Unfortunately.
Here is another cold hard truth that is even harder to swallow. The Democrats and RINO's have done such a number on this country there will never be another Reagan Conservative in the WH, sorry to say. Most don't want to hear this so don't get YPIAW, just do the math. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I used to like Jeb a lot. There was a time when I would gladly have supported him for president. I’ve changed my view.
He has yet to rouse himself to take on the Obamists. He is another Romney, wanting to sit on the sidelines above the fray and then show up for the coronation. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.
Leaders lead and fighters fight. If you are a leader, you are already leading. If you are a fighter, you are already fighting. If you want to know who should be our next president, look at the people already in the fight, and already taking a lead. Its a pretty short list, but thats your list. And Bush isn’t on it.
Then there is that whole open-borders thing.
I do not dislike Jeb Bush just because of his last name, not one bit. However, amnesty and open boarders are a deal breaker for me.
there is only one republican leader that has taken the dems to the woodshed since the last election... and the dems know it. they are trying to push any other candidate to dilute her impact and hopefully derail her
she has done more to stop the dems using twitter than the entire republican party in congress.
Sarah Palin - 2012 (2011 if we can get a recall ...)
NO!
