I was inspired by a talk show’s discussion this week on whether President Obama is a better legislator or executive as President thus far. I believe that he’s taken a strong role as a legislator, and struggled as an executive.
Going back through my notes from my American Presidency class, the President has four major functions. (1) Symbol – head of state (2) Policy Advocate (3) Mediator – He’s the only elected official with a national constituency and (4) Crisis Manager. I think he has been weak on two of the four.

He’s a failure at both so I will have to vote “Present” and hope he loses the Democrat majorities in Congress and then his job.
I think he should pursue golfing. Full time.
As Obama likes to say, this is a “false choice.”

A totally ludicrous question. He has neither legislated anything (present), nor has he been an Executive. He is an agitator and an organizer who screwed up and got elected to the most difficult job in the world. Does he take this opportunity to me AMERICANS’ lives better? No. He partys like he’s on MTV Cribs - only the cash he’s droppin on the floor ain’t twenties or hundreds - it’s trillions. Only thing missing is the bling......

He is a horrible executive. Yes I would say that if he was a Republicant.
As a legislator he was somewhere between zero and -10 but he was certainly a better legislator than president.
He was a crap legislator, and never stayed anywhere long enough to learn how to be effective. Now he is a crap president.
How about NEITHER!!!
He has no legislative history. That was the problem.
All of the above posts perfectly describe Obama as a total failure at everything. I doubt he can tie his own shoes.
Given those two choices, I’d say he’s a better bowler.
