13 min Birsa (SLO)
42 min Ljubiankic (SLO)
48 min Donovan (USA)
81 min Bradley (USA)
First, a message to the referee: Coulibaly from Mali go give yourself a yellow card after your balls hit your face! And after that eat them while whistling pretending they are not in!
Second: it is an American thing: we only attack you if you attack us first. And from there we just do our best.
Tim Howard (the Budweiser Man of the Match against England) made the fans sip nervously the golden liquid hoping his ribs will stay in place and not distract him from the game. The US goalie was abandoned alone during the fatal scores.
The USA needed a leader and Landon Donovan took the fate of the team in his hands (legs) going on a lone quest for the goal by himself successfully to keep hope alive after the break.
Michael Bradley made his daddy and his country proud and scored for 2:2... The referee robed us from victory!
Team USA made us proud! Say, say, USA!

bad call by the ref - it should be 3 -2 USA
The Ref was awful!...especially that last off-sides call against the US that would have won the game. Not only was that not off-sides, it should have been a penalty kick!
What a great game to show just how effed up football is and why Americans are reluctant to embrace it. That third world clown of a referee was simply not going to allow the big bad Americans to win that game. Corruption at its finest. I might as well go watch professional Model U.N.
Ties are very unAmerican
That call was bull$hit for sure.
And when I say the ref was bad, I do not mean he blew a call ala Jim Joyce costing that kid his perfect game. This guy was simply out of his mind from start to finish. Did anyone pay to see the ref or to see the players. Simply disgusting and what is wrong with Football UN style.
While football (American) is still my favorite sport, I do appreciate soccer. I've been to a number of World Cups and think everyone should experience it at least once. Like hockey, soccer is a game that is best experienced in person. But, the upside to soccer on TV is there are NO tv time outs, which are irritating as heck.
Who do you think people bet in this game, Slovenia? No, they bet on the United States. So who does it appear the referee fixed the game for, Slovenia. United States doesn’t cover a goal or a goal and a half and anyone who bet Slovenia gets the money. Books who booked United States bets get the money. Fix was in.
We have an affirmative action POTUS and FIFA has an affiramtive action referee. Both are utterly incompoetent and out to screw the US.
They pulled a Donaghy here with this game.
I appreciate soccer. I appreciate it when it is played at an honest level, i.e. Premiership. But I am at a loss when it comes time for the World Cup. I can’t remember a World Cup where there was not at least one game that left you wondering who large the bribe to the referees was. Always a third world guy, always.
USA got robbed!
from the blatant blown offides allowing Mexico to beat France, to the non call in the box when a German player almost got his ankle separated from his body, to the CF, officiating has been inconsistent and marginal.
One game is mayhem and the next is marred by a whistle every 4 seconds. Overall game management and consistancey to standards of play is non existent.
If the money had been on Slovenia they might have fixed it so the United States would win.
Portugal’s 0-0 tie with the Ivory Coast looked like a complete fix too as did Algeria’s loss to Slovakia.
Mean Slovania there, not Slokia.
Two ties. Wonderful.
So.....how many days until real football starts?
There may be a few games that don’t make me wonder how large the bribe was in this one. The rest look like a joke.
