If this is accurate....getting really close to Florida.

Horrible.

Hope it doesn’t hit Sanibel, but looks like a foregone conclusion.

And they don’t get the booms out because they WANT devestation. They WANT people against oil.

These democrats are evil in a historical, meaningful way.

All of Florida and the entire east coast will be soaked in oil.

Let me be the first to call bullshit on this. First off, the Tampa Bay area (my home) is EAST of the spill. If the oil is drifting westward, it’s drifting AWAY from the Tampa Bay area.

There have been numerous reports of oil offshore, but they’ve all been shown to be nothing more than algae bloom. There are no confirmed reports of oil anywhere near the west coast of Florida.

First one has to project that this spill will continue at least for THREE MORE MONTHS!

Would be interesting if video showed eastern side of FL.
Would be interesting to show effects of hurricane pushing
the surface spill west. IMHO, this is a disaster of Biblical
proportions. Once the Gulf Stream picks up this oil and it starts washing up on US east coast...

So I can’t expect property values to drop in the Tampa area any time soon? ;-)

And today, almost no coverage from Obamamedia on the oil gusher.

Gone, pfft, nothing.

Yes, it will continue. But yesterday BP was able to collect 16,000 barrels, and burn another 10,000 barrels, so that’s 25,000 barrels less that went into the water.

They are still tuning, so they will do better, and in July they’ll be able to collect almost 50,000 barrels a day if their plans work.

Already the escaping oil looks much less than it did. At some point the new oil escaping won’t be greater than what can be successfully dispersed.

And they still think they are on track to kill the well by the end of august.

(They had an odd report that said the relief wells were ahead of schedule, but that they didn’t think that would change the end date).

They are too busy still talking about the 3-hour window in which Barton had a gaffe where he apologized to BP. Realise that if a Democrat apologizes and takes back a statement, the story is about how reasonable the democrat is — but for Republicans, the story was still about what he said, with his “apology/retraction” being buried in the story as an afterthought.

It’s a minor annoyance, but I wish Barton had been smart enough to realise you can attack Obama for shaking down companies without offering an apology to the head of a company that is destroying the gulf of Mexico.
