Mass Evacuation From Gulf Coast?
Fellowship of Minds ^ | June 14, 2010

Posted on 06/16/2010 4:09:49 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

In the last couple of days, there’s increasing chatter on the net that the Obama administration is planning a mass evacuation of residents from the Gulf coast. Fellowship of the Minds endeavors to avoid posting sensationalist alarmist material, but I’m posting these alerts for the following reasons:

1. We cannot trust either British Petroleum or the White House because, from the very beginning of the oil rig explosion and the subsequent oil leak gush, both had known the true extent of the spill but both deliberately downplayed the number of galllons spilled per day, as well as the devastating impact on wildlife, the economy of the Gulf coast, and human health. See “Rolling Stone Indicts Obama for Gulf Oil Disaster.”

2. Each day, we find out that the scope of the disaster is much greater than we are told. Independent scientists have sighted multiple oil plumes. The latest is that the ocean floor of the Gulf itself may be damaged — all of which is denied and unacknowledged by BP and the White House.

3. We are also not told about the deadly oil dispersant, Corexist, that BP is using, which is highly toxic to marine and human life.

4. Knowing that a mass evacuation cannot be lightly undertaken but requires much planning, I note with interest these three recent developments:

* Late last Wednesday night, the FAA announced it’s closing the airspace over the Gulf coast to all planes “except those flights authorized by ATC, routine flights supporting offshore oil operations; federal, state, local and military flight operations supporting oil spill recovery and reconstitution efforts; and air medical and law enforcement operations.”

* The U.S. Northern Command recently conducted a training exercise at Naval Station Norfolk. USNORTHCOM was established Oct. 1, 2002 to provide command and control of Department of Defense homeland defense efforts and to coordinate defense support of civil authorities. As described by NorthCom, the exercise was Citadel Protect 2010 (CP10): ”a U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Navy Installations Command-led training event designed to assess the Navy’s capability to protect ships against various potential threats in Navy ports. The training presented Sailors with different scenarios, which required them to respond quickly and effectively. The use of realistic simulations and Hollywood-style special effects, including pyrotechnics, added to the authenticity of the training experience.” Capt. Sam McCormick, director for fleet antiterrorism at U.S. Fleet Forces Command, said “This exercise was a tactical-level exercise specifically focused at testing our tactics, techniques and procedures at the waterfront scene.”

* On April 30, 2010, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal sent letters to the DOD and the Dept. of Homeland Security requesting “funding for at least 90 days of military duty in Title 32 USC 502(f) status for up to 6,000 Soldiers and Airmen serving on active duty in support of our response to the threat of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill to the State of Louisiana.” Jindal explained that the purpose of the National Guard is to “provide security, medical capabilities, engineers and communication support in response to this threat. Currently, our Soldiers and Airmen are staging for and are engaged in the planning of the effort to evacuate and provide security and clean up for the coastal communities expected to be impacted by the oil spill.” (To read Jindal’s letter, CLICK HERE.)

A mass evacuation from the Gulf coast will mean disruptions and upheavals on a scale that is unimaginable. Hopefully, the rumors will be proven to be baseless. But it doesn’t hurt to be forewarned. At a minimum, Americans living in the Gulf coast should ask their local and state governments about this. Do not rest until you get a clear answer from those who are supposed to be our servants.

No argument there.

Did you hear about the situation with Katrina . . .

Folks who had bought the food, were unloading it at their houses or houses of their friends and relatives, IIRC, Fema showed up armed. DEMANDED the food be GIVEN to the government. The people handling the food were armed. Pointed their rifels and guns at FEMA AND SAID NO WAY.

Fema backed down. That time.

I don’t know what to think about a lot of this oil situation.

I know I don’t trust OThuga nor any of his minions . . . and I’m nost sure I trust BP much either. Sounds like there’s plenty of guilt to go around in this situation.

I just know that Christian prophetic sources as well as two different webbot software sources assert that it’s going to have super horrendous consequences.

Hi - I happened across a you-tube video of a man who was the Bush administration’s oil guy being interviewed about the leak. He discusses the “option” of nuking the thing.

Somehow I don’t buy this guy.

He’s the head of some “renewable ocean energy” firm. That should make you wonder right there. Then he says the administration to not to blame, it’s all BP. Then he says the government should take all of BP’s cash.

Does this guy sound like he’s got an agenda going or what.

We are also not told about the deadly oil dispersant, Corexist, that BP is using, which is highly toxic to marine and human life.

A million gallons isn't enough taint a body of water the size of the Gulf to the point it would do much harm to "marine and human life" unless that life was practically slurping it directly from the dispenser hose. Do the people who write this stuff know anything about "dilution?" It IS dispersant, after all.

A giant space craft crashed in the Gulf of Mexico and Obama is trying to keep us calm.

Yep, I think he’s a strange as heck. But he has a lot of face time in the media right now.

He’s not the only one talking about nuking the thing if they fail to shut it off otherwise. There are actually “pro-nuke-it” forces out there. You know, things are so wierd right now in the world, I would not put it past this bunch to nuke it in order to try and “save the oceans” from all that oil.

I have learned that it is not that unusual for the industry to use a tatical nuke to shut down out of control wells on land. It has just not been tried on a deep well in the ocean! Oh my.

I haven’t gone thru your whole thread so I don’t know if anyone has cited the link I am going to give you. It is possibly where some of the speculation about evacuation is coming from. I have no way myself of judging how reasonable this information is, but I certainly think it is something that should be listened to and considered. The reason I think that is - if this is true - you really need to know about it. Is is crazy or is it possibly true? I don’t know but it would explain some things that are happening and some things that aren’t happening and the lock down atmosphere around the Gulf. I downloaded the audio recording and played it and found no viruses or spam or any problems with it. Have a listen, and, if you want to post it as a thread, be my guest:

http://projectavalon.net/Richard_Hoagland_Coast_to_Coast_14_June_2010.mp3

(I would love it if you would post it because I want to see what people with geological backgrounds have to say and how alarmed people get when they have listened to it.) Would you please listen to it? If true, it is so serious that, the people who have seemed to be over-reacting here are actually not reacting enough. If this recording is BS it is expertly done imo. I hope it is BS. I really hope it is BS.
