Maybe better on him to get an air ambulance back to his home in ID. Quicker, easier on all involved and maybe cheaper. A volunteer or extended family or friend can drive his truck back there for him.

Maybe a fund raiser for the 5 to 10k it would cost just to transport with maybe just a flight nurse and his wife, crew ?!?!?
Wish I had the funds it would be a done deal charter.
Is there a way that we could donate thru pay pal or something. I would be glad to give a few bucks. I bet many of us could put in $10 and they could rent a motor home.
Air would seem to be the way to go. What with all the work Jeff has done, do you think maybe the military might be persuaded to step in with something?
Angel Flight is non-profit (free) and the pilots donate their time.
Good ideas here! Air would seem the way to go. The drive would be so long, even if he does get the right kind of transport by land. I can’t imagine how tiring it would be for him.
There was a fund raiser before...
We could always start another.
But boy would it be nice to have a connection to someone who has a private plane. Air ambulance would be more costly, wouldn’t it? A private plane with a medical person on board?
I think that when you need something, you have to put it out to the Universe..God(and hopefully our generous Freepers) will provide.
I didn’t consult the family first cuz I figured they would say that this is too much to ask! But Jeff did say that they would be looking to rent a motor home, in a recent email.
I chartered one for my Mom and it came with a crew and medical personnel. It cost around $3500.
So, we have this one covered.
BTW, for those asking, we need it because with my entire sacrum removed and then rebuilt, even when released to return home I will be limited for six or more moths in how long I can sit up straight at one time each day and will need a place to lay down fully and straightly while making the four day trip.
