Our beloved fellow Freeper, Jeff, who is recovering from cancer surgery at MD Anderson in Texas...needs a motor home to be able to get back to his home in Idaho. Does anyone have one lying around? :-) This request is not posted by his family..just my own idea that a generous Freeper might be able to step up. Thanks everyone and please continue to pray for our patriotic friend.
Not sure......for comfort transport....no. For lifesaving flight.......yes.
If Jeff is retired military he would qualify for space a travel for sure.

Dunno about retired military, but he certainly seems to have worked for them.
I just talked with Doug at Angelflight(nice guy: sounds like a Conservative) and he gave me two numbers to call. I wasn’t even sure where Jeff lives. Is it Idaho?
He said that corporateangelnetwork.com lets cancer patients(specifically) fly on corporate jets when they have room. Highly recommended that we call them.
He also gave me a second number for another similar flight possibility that originates in Texas. Can someone give me Gail’s contact info or yours, if you are in touch with the family? I thought that maybe I shouldn’t post the numbers here.
Prolly true... I didn't know if the idea is supposed to be a surprise or not, so I wasn't sure if one should ping Gail_Head to the idea or not...
If someone can get their truck to Colorado/Wyoming border, I am pretty sure a car hauler friend of mine can get it up here to Kalispell, MT... spittin' distance to the ID Panhandle... Let me know...
That’s great Roamer...Maybe we should keep this a surprise. and for Gail, it would be just one more call to make that she probably doesn’t have time for.
I’ll let you know what I find out about corporate angel network.
Okay, I’m in tears. The fact that there are people like these agencies who fly cancer patients to and from MD Anderson ..that are that good of heart and generous... is just so unbelievable.
Corporateangelnetwork.com..wants the Head family to contact them when they have a discharge date. 2-3 weeks ahead of time.
Then they match them(hopefully) to a corporate jet that is going to Idaho. The corporations don’t get a tax right off. Think we Freepers should give them a shout out if this works out for Jeff and his family.
I’m passing the info on to Gail via email.
Thought I had Gail’s email but don’t. Anyone?
I thought Jeff was located out of Emmett, ID (near Boise), in the southwestern part of the state.
Yes, you are right... I had thought he was up by Coeur D'alene. My bad.
I chartered one for my Mom and it came with a crew and medical personnel. It cost around $3500.
BTTT
Thought I had Gails email but dont. Anyone?
There is an idea. Hadn’t heard of them.
Good information.........not bad price considering the gain and safety while sick or injured and trying to get back home.
Thanks for the information Deb !
Stay Safe !
There is no charge for the ones I’m looking into. The pilots/corporations donate their time and services. :-)
Must lie flat on his stomach due to the nature of his surgery. Therefore, he needs a bed.
keep me posted if ya have time !
btt
I will.
So, we have this one covered.
BTW, for those asking, we need it because with my entire sacrum removed and then rebuilt, even when released to return home I will be limited for six or more moths in how long I can sit up straight at one time each day and will need a place to lay down fully and straightly while making the four day trip.
