Democrat Congressman Assaults Student- Caught on Video!
www.LibertyJuice.com ^ | June 14, 2010 | Brittany Pounders

How do these people make it to Washington? Or perhaps they are beginning to feel the consequential heat of their decisions? Democrat Congressman from North Carolina, Bob Etheridge, is walking past a student asking him a legitimate question, “Do you fully support the Obama agenda?” The Congressman, very aggressively grabs the young man and demands, “Who are you? Who are you?” The student repeatedly asks to be released and the Congressman continues to tussle with him, refusing to let go. And it’s done in such a way that one must wonder if he’s at full mental capacity.

It is doubtful that while this kind of behavior is definitely newsworthy, especially to the residents of North Carolina, this probably won’t get run on the mainstream media. It’s my opinion that this Congressman should have his next interview from a DC jail cell and the young man who was assaulted should be praised for showing such restraint.

Not if a camera is running and your reply is going to be recorded.

Look chump, the kids never had a chance to be cordial with the Congressman. He was aggressive immediately. You need to watch the video again. Stop digging.

He had absolutely no right to attack that kid. He could have just kept on walking.

The kid was young, white, and dressed in a suit. Do you think he would have pulled this stunt on a gang banger Black Panther with a nightstick in front of a polling booth?

The student couldn’t answer because he was probably shocked. No excuses for this congressional thug.

Keep in mind that these people like to talk about public service and being public servants. What right does a servant have to talk to his master that way.

Quit playing the fool. The POS Congressbully would only use any information given to him to further intimidate the student. Calling schools, looking up private information, etc. etc. To give a member of Congress any information nowdays is very touchy. They are part of a ruling class that will use it against you.

The student did exactly right...he should file charges and appear in NC to campaign against the bully. He or a bigger fiend should challenge the bully to a public boxing match.

Watch the bully run...POS Congresspuke needs a beating.

“If the kid doesn’t want his name known to the congressman, then he has no business stopping him on the street with a gotcha camera running.”

Wrong. If the Congressman doesn't want to be stopped and asked questions by anonymous people with cameras running, then he shouldn't have become an elected public official. He works for us, period. He has no obligation to answer the question, but as a Congressman he has to expect such things.

Further, what he did was battery, and he should be prosecuted. Hopefully there are some pro bono attorneys out there who would like to challenge this Congressman on his behavior. When he finds out this kids name, it should be because it's on a lawsuit as a plaintiff.

Yet another example of an imperial Congress who will not disdain themselves to be questioned by some peon. This video should be broadcast on every TV station in this clown’s district.

This would be true IF he had not had a camera running. All of you, listen up: having a camera running when you ask the public official a question changes the equation.

You do not have a right to stop me or anyone else on the street, with camera running, recording my response, without first letting me know who you are.

period.

The congressman was way out of line grabbing the kid.

He was not out of line at all asking the kid who he was BECAUSE THE CAMERA WAS RUNNING.

The camera was running. You have no right to film me on the street and refuse to tell me who you are. The camera running changes it from an innocent conversation.

The congressman was as jerk.

The kid should have given his name out of the box. Any credible journalist does.

Why is it impossible that both of them could have been wrong? What’s so hard about that? Why does the kid have to be free of all criticism? The congressman is a jerk.

But the kid was a hack of a journalist.

Yeah...I wondered about that too: just give him your name, kid! And, Etheridge appeared drunk to me.

He could have be scared - or just shocked at the reaction of the Congressman. I would have had no problem giving my name or school name, but refusing to do so does not justify assault.

I’m not sure how laws are written in NC, but in Texas you have the right to use force, including lethal force, if you feel your safety is threatened. Thank God neither of them got hurt in this unnecessary confrontation though.

“Sorry, but stopping someone with a camera running is not the same as asking someone for directions to the nearest McDonalds.”

Sorry. . .but he didn't stop him. He asked him a question and got physically attacked. That is the crime. You do know that, right?

“You have no right to film me on the street and refuse to tell me who you are”

Yes, yes I do. I can film you, zoom in on anyone here and there, no violation of the law, no problem at all. And if you tried to stop anyone from taking your picture for filming you on a public street, you would be in jail.

Please cite the “law” that protects you from being filmed in public? You can’t because you are wrong..Kid did nothing wrong, and was wise to protect his identity from the cowardly jerk who was assaulting him....the Congresspuke should have been decked for his battery, clearly you will say or do anything to protect the pukes on the Hill....sad you would support assault on the first admendment rights....you obviously ain’t American.
