As the Gulf oil disaster closes in on the 50-day mark, the Obama Administration and BP refuse to use the most effective method of oil cleanup. The top oil barons of the world--the Saudis--have used this method to avoid a mammoth oil disaster.
And the result was swift, effective, and conclusive.
In 1993 and '94 the Saudis faced an oil spill of historic proportions in the Arabian Gulf as four leaking tankers and two oil gushers threatened to spur a catastrophic event that was 65 times worse than the Exxon-Valdez spill.
An American engineer, Nick Pozzi, was part of a task force charged with developing a solution to the looming disaster.

Bubba, you're just plain-assed wrong. There ain't never been a hurricane like it and I've been through plenty.
I think of the poor folks in Gulfport. First Katrina, now this. Biloxi will get hit harder as it is more dependent on tourism, however.

LMFAO!!!
That is just ignorant speak. What was BLANKO doing, what was NAGEN doing? Of course they never want for us to remember those two imcompetents who were closest to the source of the problem.
That's like saying my baby drowned because the grandparents who live in another state were not there to save it, but I was. Now who is the incompetent one? GRRRRRRR. a pox on them all.
After we finally got cell phones back I got a call from FEMA at 5 a.m. on a Saturday morning. They were upset because I had refused to take the $2000 handout.
The man on the phone said that if I didn't take it I would never be offered assistance again. I said, "Good." and hung up. Got a letter two weeks later verifying the conversation.
True story.
Yes. Gulfport and Biloxi, Mississippi, Alabama & FLorida, along with Louisiana.....
conservative South, and, therefore to be destroyed due to any reason at all, per 0bama’s handlers, the DNC, Congress and the communist/’liberal’ progressives. May they all rot in hell for this negligence and avoidance of their lawful duties.
Declaring WHAT???
Yep, that comment was so f'n goofy that I decided not to say anything.
BTW: Was it Bush who sent that man down there to knock heads around?
Sickens me. You will rarely meet nicer folks than those in coastal MS. Hope you guys pull though this.
That’s great, but they will never understand.
Declaring WHAT???
Where do you live 'old man'. I'd love to meet somewhere to buy you a beer.
Prepare to see it on a national scale. I have.
A carrier isn't a vacuum? Maybe I miss your point.
Keep in mind, unlike the Kuwait mess where there was a heavy layer of oil on the small area of water, in the Gulf of Mexico, most of it is a couple molecules thick spread out forever.
have not heard one word about them skimming

The skimmers were sent out starting back on April 21.
