It turned out to be a story that by the next day would go viral on the Web:
A 41-year-old Lynnwood man had accidentally shot himself in the testicles at Lowes.
For those at the scene, it would be something theyll remember as initially scary, and then, as they learned the details the guy did what?
Helping the victim, who was wearing black sweatpants, Fischer asked how it happened.
He says, It was in my waistband, and I felt it starting to slip, reached for it, and I must have positioned my finger so the trigger went off, Fischer remembered Thursday.

Sounds like a Glock.
I would recommend that he look in to acquiring a little something called a “holster”.
While they haven’t been around QUITE as long as handguns themselves, I understand they’re VERY popular among most people who carry guns on their person.
Damn...I hate it when that happens....
Hand weapon, in the band of sweatpants, slipping.
You made beer come out of my nose!

Any pistol will discharge if you pull the trigger, as he did. Attempting to shove a pistol down the front of your pants with your finger in the trigger guard has that effect.
Sorry couldn't resist
Hope he used ball ammo.
When did it become OK to wear sweat pants in public?
Sounds like he just might qualify for a Darwin Award. Ouch!
1978 or so
True, but in what position was the safety?
Obviously this incompetent should not be allowed to carry a firearm.
It is just as well that this guy loses his opportunity to breed. Don’t need any more degradation of the gene pool.
No, a pistol with a positive safety applied will not discharge if you pull the trigger. Glocks lack a positive safety, which is why so many cops and other idiots shoot themselves and innocent bystanders.
Glocks don’t have a real safety. They have something called a “trigger safety”, which is just a little tab in the middle of the trigger. Very dangerous for anybody who isn’t 100% attentive all the time.
Another victim of “Plaxico carry”
We had a story here in Florida last Christmas where a Collier County deputy sheriff was driving home from an Orlando visit, talking to his wife on the cell phone. He was fumbling in his fanny pack, which he had set on his lap, for a package of cigarettes and his weapon, also in the pack discharged, shooting him in the upper thigh. He bled out and was dead before help could arrive.
Guns are great, but they can sure make for a bad ending of the day.
I wear sweatpants most of the time, is there a law against it now!
“Hope he used ball ammo.”
