Environmental movement responsible for Gulf Oil Disaster

The environmental catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico with the millions of gallons of crude oil is due to the limits imposed on oil companies by environmentalists and their lobbyists in Washington by implementing restrictions on drilling sites.

The bottom line is this gusher at 5000ft. below sea level is almost impossible to control because at such depths any measure used to control the leak that would be successful at shallower depths is either useless or cannot be done because of the difficulty in reaching the source.

They are clueless! Now they will ruin Cape Cod and drive the price of energy through the roof with their wind towers.

I live on the ocean and it is a beautiful sparkly ocean day on the east coast and my heart just breaks for the Gulf!

The Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, Nature Conservancy etc. etc. are money-raising machines that make it possible for their elites to jet all over the world and pull down fat incomes, while “saving the earth.” They give huge bribes to the campaign chests of Democrats to pass regulations that damage the environment in many ways, this oil catastrophe being only the latest.

The enviro’s insistence on “testing” every possible solution to both the gushing well and the cleanup is also making things worse.

If we were allowed to drill in shallower water closer to shore, the leak would have been fixed almost immediately.

Environmentalists are shallow deep thinkers.

This is an interesting view. “Environmentalists” also had a hand is causing even more damage during Katrina, but, of course, that news was hard to find. The so-called environmentalists and their lackeys in Congress and state houses are not truly interested in saving or improving the environment, habitat, or species. They want to bring down capitalism and replace it with some form of socialism or fascism. Of course, in their opinion, this socialistic society would be led by compassionate, caring all powerful leaders like themselves who would make everything all better for the little people. Too bad they can’t crack a history book and learn that such benign dictatorships inevitably turn into impoverishing, bloody, murderous failures.

Sounds just like the wild fires in California that were due to restrictions imposed by environmentalists on thinning the forrest. The result was to create a tinderbox that, once lit, got out of control and could not be easily extinguished.

“The Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, Nature Conservancy etc. etc. are money-raising machines that make it possible for their elites to jet all over the world and pull down fat incomes”

You hit on a very good point. They have nice jobs, which are secure only as long as they continue to find and fight “problems”. For this reason, they’ll never be admitting to any environmental progress. No cause, no job.
