Politics is a funny business. Much emphasis is placed on symbolism. We forget to check the candidates experience, associations and record, both spoken and written.
In the case of Barack Obama, despite the effort of his cohorts and the MSM, we had enough information as to his leanings via some in the media, especially Sean Hannity. Had we focused on his experience and political back ground, many of our votes would have changed to McCain. I say this about McCain as one who believes hes a decent enough fellow, who would do a worthy jobnothing horrible. Plus, think of the entertainment value of Sarah Palin dishing from the VP slot as opposed to the boob who currently occupies it, Joe the Gaffer.

Which is of course right, but they never aspired to be competent rulers. They only wish to tear down. They will do an enormous amount of damage before they're done.
