Sarah Palin Will Announce Her Candidacy On Feb 6th 2011 In Tampico, Illinois
Citizen Palin 4 President ^ | Michael J. Fahy

Posted on 05/18/2010 12:18:47 PM PDT by MaxCUA

Sarah Palin will announce her candidacy for President in Tampico, Illinois (or maybe Dixon or Eureka) on February 6, 2011, Dutch Reagan's 100th birthday. That is not just my prediction/fantasy; others thought the same after her Wednesday address in Chicagoland's suburban Rosemont, where she unabashedly took charge of the then erupting Highland Park school debacle. Palin fired up the Chicago crowd, citing Ronald Reagan as a driving influence in her life and political career.

Yep - agree with your post 100% except for Cantor & Jindall who go RINO too often for me. Rubio seemed to be waffling on the AZ ILLEGAL issue, too but he's far better than Charlie Light shoes.

The same CO poll in March had Myth Romney leading Palin by 19 points - big change in 2 months as more people are seeing Palin out front on issues and leading the conservative charge. America needs a strong, vocal conservative leader who is unafraid to stand up and state the truth.

At this moment, I'm backing Palin. see my tagline....

Aren’t those ‘the babes’ as Rush calls them. Nothing ‘hmmmm’ about that. They ‘can’ be gay and espouse conservative beliefs.

Should definitely be an interesting primary if she runs!

You are dreaming. DeMint has mocked the idea, saying nobody would want the job now, and continues to openly and publicly contemplate who he would like to endorse for 2012.

You'd better come-up with a back-up plan real quick.

Banking the idea that “Jim Demint hasn't sworn-off running SO HELP HIM GOD = he's running!” is going to lead to a lot of heartbreak, and a lot of last-minute scrambling to find another Romney backer to oppose Palin (or maybe just Romney himself).

DeMint isn't running, no matter how much you really, really want him to.

She is intelligent, but not very educated or ready in the foreign policy area and she really avoids presenting serious, articulate policy points.

I really think leaving the governor position to do TV and make money was not “presidential”...and the issue is not whether she has conservative principles...its Can she win? I really don’t think she can get enough independents and some dems to make it.

This would be a fitting start to her campaign!

I'm starting a pool, now, Max:

Who do the DeMint folks jump to when he doesn't run:

1.) Romney
2.) Paul
3.) Some local Congressman
4.) Libertarian Party
5.) Daniels
6.) Keyes
7.) Huckabee
8.) Unelected military figure.
9.) Thune
10.) Barbour

We should keep a list for posterity's sake! LOL

Didn't know Cantor and Jindall have gone RINO at times.

Rubio explained himself pretty well on the AZ issue. He said initially he thought the bill would have allowed police to stop people on sight and check them for citizenship. When he found out more about the details he supported it. (If you are in Arizona and there is a problem with a lot of illegals, they aren't going to look like they came from the Congo, Sweden or Japan.)

“Myth” Romney - like that. The GOP establishment coalesced behind him (maybe “congealed” is a better word) early on like they did with McCain.

I have my sources. I was the one saying he was going to run even when he was poo-pooing the idea months ago.

Notice how he is no longer ruling it out.

If Obama is unpopular in 2012.. She almost wins by default.

Too many people underestimate her strength and she is awesome on the campaign trail.

You mean the DeMint who endorsed Lindsey Grahamesty and Mittens? Don’t get me wrong, I love DeMint, but he’s had some questionable endorsements as well. And as much as I like his positions, he’s certainly not Mr. Personality. In this media-driven world that’s going to be a handicap.

Newt’s done-—he’ll never win a primary. I discussed this with my mom and her Republican women’s club members. Every one of them remember Newt dumping his ex-wife while she was hospitalized and being treated for cancer-—and for a new and younger woman. None of them can tolerate to even look at him. He would have a very difficult time with older voters who recall the incident well. And don’t think it won’t be brought up over and over again by Romney et al.

Notice how he is no longer ruling it out.

“Well I guess I’ve learned not to rule out anything in life but right now it’s the last thing I want to do.” —Jim DeMint

Yes, clearly by saying it's the LAST THING HE WANTS TO DO, and publicly contemplating who he's going to endorse in 2012, he's practically forming an exploratory committee.

The man has made his sentiments clear, he isn't running - certainly not in 2012.

We ain’t playing poker here, so you can cut the poker face.

How about something reasonable say, $250. Or we could make it as a donation to the other guy’s candidate on behalf of the winner.

RE: “You mean the DeMint who endorsed Lindsey Grahamesty and Mittens?”

**************

Yeah, that’s the guy — you looking for perfection? It’s not out there. Does not exist. Palin endorsed Fiorina - yuck — Cheney is endorsing Whitman, also here in CA — not a good thing.

See what I mean? No perfection out there — take what you can get. I like DeMint - but the candidate will probably be Romney.

The key is torpedo Mitt early. Anyone have tape of him claiming to have fought in ‘Nam

Not quite, but this is sadly in the ballpark for a guy that used his church influence to get a deferment while his father was campaigning to become the anti-war Commander in Chief during the Vietnam war. I would love to ask some questions related to the 2007 version.

Desire to serve in Vietnam:
"I was not planning on signing up for the military. It was not my desire to go off and serve in Vietnam..." Boston Herald, 5/2/94

"I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there and in some ways it was frustrating not to feel like I was there as part of the troops that were fighting in Vietnam." Boston Globe, 6/24/07
