Who took the Mojave cross?
Examiner.com ^ | May 11, 2010 | Réne Girard

The United States Supreme Court recently ruled on April 28 that the Mojave War Memorial, which includes a cross commonly called "the Mojave cross", could stand it's ground as it has done since 1934 in the Mojave desert as a symbol of patriotism and respect for the dead who served in World War I. And now someone has stolen it. Someone brazenly, defiantley, took the controverisal 8 ft. cross which was literally bolted into Sunrise Rock. But who took it and why?

The most obvious answer would be someone who could not stand the fact that the highest court in the land put an end to the 9 yr battle waged by the ACLU on behalf of Frank Buono, a former National Park Services employee, against the Mojave cross. Perhaps authorities should start their search with Mr. Buono and the ACLU.

Of course the criminals could be any un-patriotic non-Christians who foolishly believe in the separation of church and state to such a degree that they would resort to vandalism and thievery...

If we really had a separation of church and state then we'd end up having no state.

Liberals are such imbeciles.

A 30.06 would have been a good way to stop the thieves had people known.

typical liberal response:
we’ll fight you in court, and when we lose there, we’ll break the law to get our way.

I’d be more surprised if it wasnt stolen, given the nature of the standard liberal.

I know that a lot of you will have received this email but this seems an appropriate place for it.

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he’ll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he’s “offended”.

Leftists will claim the cross was stolen by “Christian extremists”. I would bet money on that.

Erect another one.

Run a 220 3-phase line to it underground.

Troll the hospitals and morgues for electrocution victims with sand in their shoes.

Aristotle wrote that email, almost 2400 years ago. :)

Jealousy is both reasonable and belongs to reasonable men, while envy is base and belongs to the base, for the one makes himself get good things by jealousy, while the other does not allow his neighbour to have them through envy. ~Aristotle
