Hal charts the rise and fall of nations as they bless or curse the Jews beginning with the Kingdom of Spain in 1492 through present day America.
ping. Long video but I’m a fan of Hal Lindsey.
Isn’t this the guy who thought it likely that the second coming would come in the 1980s? I wonder his empirical “study” took note of the fact that the British Empire went into decline (and continued in decline) at about the time of the Balfour Report.
Well, the present-day Israel is not a theocracy. It’s just the same by name as what we know from the Bible.
When 78% of American Jews vote for someone like 0bama, and when the country of Israel has so many who do not practice their faith, while the “most faithful” live off of welfare there, I’m not sure what God can possibly think of people who think they are “His People.”
Maybe that’s why Christ came, to offer Gentiles and Jews an opportunity to be His People.
Besides, nations don’t curse nations; people do.
Those who curse the Boer Nation will similarly be cursed.
Thanks for the PING!
It's the "Hal Lindsey Report: 5/7/2010"
Hal’s book “1980’s, Countdown to Armageddon” is actually the final straw that led me to Christ.
Then he came out with a book “A prophetic walk through the holy land” where I caught him in a bold faced lie. I haven’t accepted anything he said since and it has served me well.
Now, Gerald Celente, on things not religious, has done a pretty good job.
BTW, the lie I am speaking of involves an apparent apparition in a photo taken in the upper room. His explanation showed utter contempt for the intelligence of the reader and dependence on complete gullibility.
Anyone interested in this topic should check out the book AS AMERICA HAS DONE TO ISRAEL. The correlation between our good/bad treatment of Israel and the resulting reward/judgment, is stunning.

How long has he been in Tulsa, or is this only for mailing? [I thought he was in Southern California.]
No. You’re wrong, and some is everyone else who says this. Hal Lindsey specifically said in his books that we as Christian people will NOT know the exact time of The Lord’s return. He did say that the conditions of those times had remarkably similar parallels to the times of the Lord’s return as described in Scripture. It is only ill-informed people who attribute this erroneous statement to Hal Lindsey. I, for one, wish they would get their information straight.
I never said he named a date. He just artfully hedged, so as to scare Christian nervous Nellies, by saying things like “the 1980s may be the last decade before Christ’s return.” He also made much of the fact that this event “may well” happen once Israel was a generation old. When that didn’t happen, he reinterpreted the “Biblical” length of a generation. Finally, when that didn’t happen, he shifted again calculated the generation as beginning in 1967 (not 1947). When the second coming didn’t happen again after the close of that generation....well I lost track.
Me too, but Fish was my fave!
“His explanation showed utter contempt for the intelligence of the reader and dependence on complete gullibility.”
This pretty much sums up Hal’s entire career.
*Taps foot and waits for lightning bolt to come from the sky*.
If a prophet tells one thing that is not true, he can not be a true prophet. He has lied a little too much to have gained any respect from me.
