Dark Side of Shariah
Malcolm A. Kline, May 6, 2010
While American textbooks try to pretty up the history of Islam, in the real world, its less savory contours still emerge, even in countries reputed to be the most tolerant towards those of other faiths. The days of Christians in Morocco may be numbered, Olivier Guitta writes on the Global Post. A wave of so-called proselytizing, that has reportedly converted tens of thousands Muslims into Christians, has prompted authorities to clamp down on Christian residents.
Over the last several weeks, more than 50 Christians from the U.S., the Netherlands and South Korea have been deported by Moroccan authorities. Guitta, a security and geopolitical consultant, is based in Paris.
Some long-time Christian residents were not allowed back in the country, he claims. The most high-profile operation took place in an orphanage called the Village of Hope, when 16 foreign Christians running the center were told they had two hours to pack up and leave the country....

Excuse me, but there is a light side to Sharia?
Does it have a Bright Side?
You beat me to the question.
Okay, so it took you 4 minutes before you posted, but seriously, how quickly after you read the headline did you and I come up with the same sentence.
For me it was about a second.
Great minds FReep alike!
Seems like we are all singing from the same songbook, same page, same 64th of a note.
To paraphrase Pink Floyd; “there is no dark side to sharia. as a matter of fact it’s all dark.”
The dark side? Tell me about it......../rhetorical - OB1
Remeber, no chuckling at Islam’s expense!
Fatwas for everyone!
To the PC crowd I ask;
Would you feel comfortable with the US being 60% muslim?
(I didn’t think so)
How about 50%?
(no?)
30%?
(prolly not)
20%?
(naw)
If no to all the above, why have any?
Certainly. The darker portions deal with punishing adultery by stoning and the like. But people focus on that part to the exclusion of the benefits of shariah. For example, did you ever walk down the street look at a woman’s legs and think, “She could use a shave”? You don’t have to do that under shariah because she is covered from head to toe! If you beat her and give her a black eye she can’t use emarrassment over her swollen eye as an excuse not to go do the shopping because her face is covered by a veil anyway! And the old stereotypes about lousy women drivers disappear because they won’t be allowed to drive - another benefit! Finally, there are the healthy outdoor activities that shariah encourages such as swordplay - great exercise. And hands on experience making things like bombs and poison gases. Don’t forget the beheadings, forced conversions, rapes, rampant homosexuality, widespread slavery, change, hope, and scented welfare checks. Don’t shortchange shariah just because it has a few very minor flaws. Remember, the perfect is the enemy of the good, so lighten up a bit!
We have to stop recognizing Islam as a religion and see it for what it truly is; a socio-political system masquerading as a religion.
Exactly.
Dark side? What the hell is the bright side? That more enlightened believers don’t do in home clitorectomies anymore?
Dang you :-)

This is kinda sad.
Dale Dye (the Marine who has been working/consulting in films for
years) said that of all the Muslim populations he dealt with during
his tours of duty...the Moroccans seemed to be the most reasonable of
the whole lot.
Looks like some of them are trying to rid themselves of that reputation.
I had the same response and did not post it when I saw that several others had beat me to it. It is too obvious. “Dark side” implies a light side.
shari’a bump
