This is a new Facebook page created to inform people that MLB is under increasing pressure from the Player's Union and Hispanic baseball players to boycott Arizona.
They have already gotten a misinformed strong denouncement from MLB Players Association.
They are seeking to boycott the 2011 All Star Game in Arizona, as well as the Spring Training Cactus League and the Arizona Fall League.
TOPICS: Business/Economy; Government; Politics; Sports
KEYWORDS: arizona; illegalimmigation; immigration; mlb
Please join this FaceBook group and let MLB know we do not appreciate their condoning Illegal activity and Illegal Immigration.
To: All
To date, baseball players and coaches that have made strong statements against the Arizona Illegal Immigration Bill are:
Ozzie Guillen
Alex Gonzalez
Rod Barajas
...and the MLBPA union

I wish we really could truly boycott the MLB. Those welfare queens get stadiums paid for by us.

Yes they do.
...and the way the Player’s Union is twisting the wording of the bill and claiming it “racially profiles” etc. is disgusting.
These multimillionaires have the money to get their families here legally if they really want to.

I’d boycott, but I already boycott, on account of MLB not being the NFL.

I watch NFL and MLB... NHL...no NBA but love college BBall.
I’m sick of the liberal elites calling us racists for wanting our Immigration Laws enforced.
It’s crazy...and now the MLB is going to buckle to their Hispanic player’s.

These three people and the union must have mush where their brains are supposed to be. What is it about “illegal” that these idiots don’t understand?
To: rbmillerjr
At some point, we have to start putting our liberty and freedom ahead of sports and entertainment...this is a good place to start.
I call on everyone that if MLB does "boycott" Arizona, that we have a NATIONWIDE BOYCOTT OF MLB.
They are throwing the old adage, "As American as Baseball and Apple Pie" out the window, making baseball an hispanic activist association.
If they want to dis America and support the illegals, then let the illegals buy their tickets and support them. We'll just stay home, thanks anyway.

I would boycott it but since I have not watched a single pitch nor even looked at the box scores since 1994 I guess any action by me is moot.

What part of “Illegal” do they not understand?
That says it all.

What is amazing is that the lies keep coming from the liberal media about this Illegal Immigration Bill.
I wanted to get out in front of this because the Player’s Association is going to be huge pressure on Selig and MLB to do something to placate the 35-45% of Hispanic players that play in MLB and the Minors.
The All Star game brings in about $90 Million. So, intense pressure from MLB and famous players may force Arizona’s hand.
If Arizona loses, we all lose.

Bingo! I will be done with any sport that says its okay to violate our laws.

Somebody on the FB page made a great point.
How would MLB like it if people just started jumping ticket lines.
...and hell, why bother with tickets....that’s documentation...just enter the stadium and sit in the Club Seats.
If you are asked for your ticket you just file a suit. LOL.

Yeah, when the tables are turned on the MLB owners, they’ll sing a different tune.
If I’m walking around in a stadium, I resent being asked to produce a ticket. Shouldn’t I just be able to sit in the luxury and corporate seats without being harassed?
