New Investigation into Obama Background Spells Trouble Ahead
Conservative Examiner ^ | April 28,2010 | Anthony G. Martin

Posted on 04/28/2010 9:57:54 AM PDT by Welshman007

A brand new, in-depth investigation into the background of Barack Obama may spell big trouble ahead regarding the issue of Presidential eligibility.

The investigation was conducted by Northeast Intelligence Network--a team of experienced, professional private investigators whose services have been utilized by Fortune-500 companies. The director, Douglas J. Hagmann, is a 23-year veteran in high-level investigations and is a member of the International Counter-Terrorism Officers Association.

Hagmann's investigation into the background and Constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as President of the United States is extensive and thorough. His conclusions are stunning.

The article states that Obama’s mother wasn’t a US citizen. This is the first time I’ve heard this.

Me too.

I remember reading somewhere that his mother gave up her citizenship when she went to Malaysia(?) or whatever country her husband was from at the time. That both her and The O had to renounce there citizenship to live there and for him to go to school there.

Yup. It's also not true. She was born in Kansas, spent her entire life in the US, and was only 18 at the time of Bambi's birth. The only way should would have lost her citizenship before his birth would have been if she had renounced it, and the idea that she had done so is absurd on its face, given that she spent the next 10 years of her life studying and working in the United States.

That won't stop the birthers, though. Just like the myth that US citizens couldn't travel to Pakistan in 1981, within a few days birthers will be asserting that Mama Obama wasn't a US citizen as if it were a proven fact.

LOL. If I had a penny for every time a birther said, "I remember reading somewhere," I'd rich.

Pretty soon we'll hear birthers saying, "I remember reading somewhere that Obama's mom wasn't a US citizen when he was born."

I think what he meant to say is that if he was born in Kenya then she wasn’t old enough to pass citizenship to him.

Obama’s Mother Not an American Citizen?

This is a product of the wackiness of our federal laws. Two key words: BE and TRANSMIT. She was certainly an American citizen, and a natural born one at that, but federal law (I don’t have the citation handy) states that a woman can only “transmit” citizenship by birth (as opposed to place of birth) if she is of the “age of majority” as in 18 years old. Well, she was 17 when Barak was born. If he had been born four months later, this would not have been an issue. Therefore, Barak’s citizenship would be derived from the father, if he is of the age of majority. Since he was, this law says that Barak was not even a dual citizen - only Kenyan and there by at the time of birth, a subject of the British crown.

Since his birth, that law has been modified several times, but that is meaningless here.

Add to that it is very, very difficult to renounce your citizenship. Normally you have to show that you are already accepted in another country and have the means to support yourself there. If not, the government will refuse your request to renounce citizenship. I can’t see the government approving the request of an 18 year-old.

Hi Nathanbedford. I too am a fan of Nathan Bedford (Get there firstest with the mostest) Forrest. Was aware that, in addition to his exploits in the Confederate Army, he was involved in some way with the beginnings of the KKK afterward.

But was totally shocked to learn that shortly after the KKK busines he turned his life over to Christ, adopted a black baby and renounced his former positions and activities.

There is a biography of his life which tells these things. I once had a copy, which I loaned to someone and have not seen it since.

Ain't that the truth. Maybe we'll get to hear about the travel ban to Pakistan again.

“Birther” is generally a perjorative term. Most on this forum simply believe that Obama’s NBC status was never adequately investigated despite reasonable doubt. I don’t think that this opinion should be ridiculed.

While I don’t believe that anything to do with NBC status is going to happen to unseat Obama prior to 2012, I DO believe that the issue MAY keep Obama from running again.

As such, I would like to keep the unfounded claims (such as the one about Obama’s mother NOT being a US citizen) in check.

The law that was in power in 1961 was that the mother had to have lived in the US for 5 years beyond the age of 14 to pass on American citizenship to a child who was born outside the US. She missed by 3 months and a few weeks if he was not born in Hawaii. If he was born in Hawaii then he was an American citizen but not a natural born citizen because he was also a subject of Britain by his own admission on his own website.

See my post 18 and the link to the REAL story to understand how this story misrepresents the investigation.

I'd almost say that this story proves the point of the REAL story, which is that there was an attempt to misrepresent what was reported about the issue in order to confuse.

If you read the original story, you will see that this author is not investigating whether Obama is an NBC or his eligibility, he's investigating the attempt to distort the issue in order to discredit it.

Not saying anything we here haven’t already said.

Would be wonderful if this removes Obama right after the November 2010 elections.

“Oh, bummer, Obama!”

International Counter-Terrorism Officers Association you say? Well, they have a facebook page, so they’re legit in my opinion.

LOL...

Do you suppose they'll partner up with Judicial Watch?
