Every time I read something about Texas I like it more and more. Just this morning I was scrolling through the news and found this:
Texas gov. shoots, kills wily coyote during jog
AUSTIN, Texas Pistol-packing Texas Gov. Rick Perry has a message for wily coyotes out there: Dont mess with my dog.
Perry told The Associated Press on Tuesday he needed just one shot from the laser-sighted pistol he sometimes carries while jogging to take down a coyote that menaced his puppy during a February run near Austin.
Perry said he will carry his .380 Ruger loaded with hollow-point bullets when jogging on trails because he is afraid of snakes. Hed also seen coyotes in the undeveloped area.
When one came out of the brush toward his daughters Labrador retriever, Perry charged.
Dont attack my dog or you might get shot if youre a coyote, he said Tuesday.
That, ladies and gentleman, is plain awesome. Can anyone picture Deval Patrick or Martin OMalley doing this? Didnt think so.
Not only did he smoke the thing, but he used a laser sight and put the coyote down relatively painlessly:
Perry said the laser-pointer helped make a quick, clean kill.
It was not in a lot of pain, he said. It pretty much went down at that particular juncture.
Texas state law allows people to shoot coyotes that are threatening livestock or domestic animals. The dog was unharmed, Perry said.
Im starting to think that killing coyotes should be a requirement to be Governor of any state...

What kind of dog do you have?
Don’t need ‘em. My only electronics make toast. Good luck with the inflatable wife.
That’s hilarious. White DOES look like Elmer Fudd.
Love your post.
Used to have - she passed away. A minature Scottish Border Collie. She was quite old at the time of these encounters.
...or David Patterson?
Oh that is sooooo wrong...
Not really. I mean, if he could plug a hooker surely he could plug a yote......
