I respectfully disagree w/Mr. Montenegro.

As a Jewish Republican who was born in the U.S., I know racist laws when I see them. We can disagree all we want, but like my Israeli-born and raised father says, “don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.”

As a right-wing Jew, I can’t help but see similarities between Arizona’s new law and how the Third Reich started.

Peace.

Please explain how enforcing existing immigration laws is “racist”?!
Please define how questioning people in the country illegally is “similar” to the Nazis exterminating a class of people based on race?!
Please quit peeing on my leg...

Anonymous, have you read the bill? Did you know they are just enforcing federal laws that are already on the books? The only difference is, the feds won’t enforce the laws, it has become complete chaos in the border towns and down right dangerous. The feds won’t do anything so the state has stepped in to do it, for the rights and safety of American citizens.
Racists my behind.

Must see!

Carrying documents is required for all immigrants in U.S.
[snip]
Being a permanent resident is a “privilege” and not a “right.””

On Page 8, is this:

* Carry proof of your permanent resident status at all times. “

The brave Arizonans above have give us all reason to be hopeful. The media attention will waken the out of touch.
Beware of discouragement.

Disappointment brings discouragement.

Constant failure to realize our plans or expectations will cause us to lose confidence and hope,

and inability to handle disappointment becomes a great tool.

The following story, given to me by a friend and mentor 45 years ago,

written by Walter Knight, illustrates.

Discouragement

It was advertised that the Devil was going to put his tools up for sale.

On the day of the sale the tools were placed for public inspection,

each being marked with its sale price.

They were a treacherous lot of implements....

Hatred, Envy, Jealousy, Deceit, Lying, Pride,

and so on comprised the outfit.

Laid apart from the rest was a harmless looking tool,

well worn, and priced very high.

“What is the name of this tool?”

asked one of the purchasers, pointing to it.

“That is discouragement” tersely replied the Devil.

“Why have you priced it so high?”

“Because it is more useful to me than the others.

I can pry open and get inside a man’s heart with that,

when I cannot get near him with other tools.

Once I get inside, I can make him do what I choose.

It is badly worn because I use it on almost everyone,

since few people know it belongs to me.”

We tried way back in 1994 with Prop 187.

Now the state has so many Hispanics its no longer going to seal the border.

Thanks Aunt B. I sent this to my “representative” and my two “senators” to remind them.

Federal Immigration and Nationality Act

Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)

State and local law enforcement officials have the general power to investigate and arrest violators of federal immigration statutes without prior INS knowledge or approval, as long as they are authorized to do so by state law. There is no extant federal limitation on this authority. The 1996 immigration control legislation passed by Congress was intended to encourage states and local agencies to participate in the process of enforcing federal immigration laws. Immigration officers and local law enforcement officers may detain an individual for a brief warrantless interrogation where circumstances create a reasonable suspicion that the individual is illegally present in the U.S. Specific facts constituting a reasonable suspicion include evasive, nervous, or erratic behavior; dress or speech indicating foreign citizenship; and presence in an area known to contain a concentration of illegal aliens

“California would never have the guts to do such a thing as Arizona did.....but it sure needs to.”

We tried back in 1994 by passing Prop 187. It was subverted by an unholy alliance of the Treason Lobby that includes a crooked federal judge, a Democrat Governor, and a RINO named Arnold with his Open Borders GOP sponsors.

Very interesting, bears repeating

Makes the reason for the Arizona law quite clear

49 more states to go...
