Illegal Immigration, Arizona, And The Way Forward...

Arizona last week raised the ire of liberals everywhere when they passed the strictest illegal immigration law in the country.

Above, we see Barack Obama laying out the real Democrat plan for November 2010; make the midterm elections about racism and bigotry, which has really nothing to do with the reality of most Americans lives on a daily basis.

So first, before we get to my thoughts on the Arizona law, a fact check. What is in the law, exactly?

It gives law enforcement the power to question individuals regarding their immigration status, if and only if reasonable suspicion exists. It does NOT require individuals to carry their immigration papers. Law officials may not ONLY consider race, color, or national origin in choosing whom to question. That means there must be independent grounds for questioning. Documentation that verifies legal status includes any driver's license or Federal, State, or Local Government ID. Those are the basics. It is by far the strictest law passed in the U.S. regarding immigration ever.
