George Carlin - Saving the Planet (beware and oldie with strong language)
YouTube.com ^ | George Carlin (comedian)

Posted on 04/24/2010 6:51:34 PM PDT by K-oneTexas

An answer for AlGore and his crowd - in a way.

Has foul language, sorry couldn't find it with 'bleeps'. Heard it originally years and years ago and reheard it last week on Mark Levin.

Priceless ... in a age of reason. Well for some of us but not Dem/Libs. Climate change, extinct species ... he covers it all and more.

Some as old as me might just remember this one among the many many George Carlin comedy skits of the 70's and 80's. His comedy makes one howl even if he had a way of "crossing the line of good taste". He was in his way, I think, a story teller who used vulgarities and crudeness to get a point across. He passed away in 2008 but his comedy will be around forever.

LOL!!!! His skit “What am I Doing In New Jersey” is funny too when he describes all the drivers on the road.

Carlin was almost always profane, but what set him apart in my mind was that you could strip away the profanity and he was still funny and often thought-provoking.

The “lava in the living room” is the one that did it for me.

My brother loved the hippy dippy weatherman. Everytime I saw Carlin I’d think of that. My brother passed away from cancer 15 years ago.

I like his observation that a “hung jury”, by definition, MUST be made up of all males!

That made my night!! Thanks for posting it.

Carlin was a genius. So brilliant, incisive, and generally dead-nuts-on-target.

Brilliant! Send it to all the sheep you know jumping on the Earth Day / Lenin’s Birthday bandwagon.

I remember watching that, probably on HBO, years back.. and I’ve probably used that line about 20 times since then…

Earth day is not about saving the planet… it’s about saving humanity… like Carlin said “The planet is fine, the planet isn’t going anywhere, but we are”…

should be a national holiday… remove Christmas, Easter, take your pick… make people more aware… nothing wrong with a cleaner planet…

and when you have a choice between “cleaner” or “dirtier”… would anybody really chose “dirtier”… believe it or not… some would !!!
