When the real estate boom hit in the early 2000’s, many illegals went down south(and middle atlantic states) for jobs.
Also, renting houses and apartments is much more expensive in California.

Obviously, GWB and Obama, want illegal immigration to continue. Dems want amnesty for the 10s of millions of new voters, and the jury is out on most Republicans, whose statements do not inspire confidence. Romney has flipped so many times I don't see how anybody but a traitor could vote for him. And yes, I want Palin to give us a straight statement about amnesty.
Perhaps, despite these stringent laws against employing illegals they are still pouring over for the opportunity to earn mucho dinero?
As SJB said, one of the problems is no real enforcement. Another is rogue judges.
We, this country, have an influx of people, pouring in to earn money, of which they cannot make at home.
It is estimated that the number of illegals in this country is approx 15 million, mostly being from Mexico and South America.
These illegals reside across the country. (I've oft wondered how an accurate, state-by-state count could be had without knowing where these illegals are. If we know where they are then why are they still there/here?).
Point being - It is very easy to sit behind a PC, or stand on a sidewalk waving a sign and demand that something be done. I would ask those doing the demanding to offer a practicable and feasible solution to locating, apprehending and deporting 15 million people - whilst simultaneously, many more are sneaking in.
I myself would never offer amnesty, unless as a ploy to bring illegals into the light, nab them, and deport them. I also realize this would never be contemplated by our 'solons' in the upper echelons of State and Federal gov't.
So, how would it be done? How much manpower, at what costs?
OR
A law, nationally, is passed that such penalizes anyone or any business that employs an illegal that it proves to a more than ample deterrent to their wanting to come here illegally in the first place.

The debate over the illegal alien invasion has already happened. The American people have stated loud and clear that they want all illegal aliens deported and not rewarded. Those who do not want illegal aliens deported, including some elected politicians, racist separatist hate groups (MALDEF, LULAC, MECHA, the National Council of the Race, etc), the media and elitists like Bill O’Reilly continually tell us that we can’t “ROUND UP” twenty million people.
The term “round up” is inflammatory and is used to make us seem barbaric or less than human and discourage us from doing what must be done to save America. The truth of the matter is, we don’t have to “round up” anybody. What we have to do is make existence in this country extremely hostile to those here illegally and guess what? They will leave! Make it where they can’t buy or sell, can’t rent, can’t drive, can’t work, can’t medicate, educate or incarcerate! Do these things and THEY WILL LEAVE!!!
Having said that, I offer, to MY country, a humble plan to rid us of this huge burden. This plan is based on common sense, THE LAW and a will to do it. It goes like this:
Congress shall declare a 90 day amnesty for ALL illegal aliens. During that period NO status adjustments will be made. Zero! For 90 days illegal aliens will have the opportunity to dispose of any accumulated assets, both real and personal. Bought a house? Sell it! Bought a car? Sell it! Got a dog, give it away! They will have three months to settle their affairs and sever all ties to this country.
At the end of the amnesty period, on day 91, ANY illegal alien still here will be considered a federal, felony fugitive and will be arrested and jailed. One year the first time. FIVE years the second time and TEN years the third time. We will build a tent prison in the California/Arizona desert and expand it as needed. Once jailed, all assets will be seized and sold at auction. All proceeds will be used to incarcerate said illegal aliens. These stipulations will apply to anyone who entered the country illegally OR any visa overstay of one day or more.
ANY ILLEGAL ALIEN CAUGHT IN THE UNITED STATES AFTER THE AMNESTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED WILL BE BANNED FROM THE COUNTRY FOR LIFE!
On day 91, ANY employer who hires an illegal alien fugitive will be jailed. One year for the first offense, FIVE years for the second and TEN years for the third. These laws and penalties will also apply to any bank lending money to illegal aliens and anyone giving them aid and shelter, including churches.
American born children of illegal aliens will be placed in jeopardy by the actions of their parents. Since the American people had no hand in those actions, the responsibility for the care of those children will be that of their parents. If they self-deport, they have the option to take the kids with them or leave them here with an adult of their choice. If the parent is incarcerated as an illegal alien fugitive, they have the option of placing the children with an adult of their choice or making them wards of the federal government and placed in an institution until their release.
These measures are hard but they are fair and are needed to assure the survival of this once great country. They apply to anyone in the country illegally regardless of race, creed, color, height, weight, age, sex or national origin.

Sounds harsh, Terry. But it’s not. Let me tell you what ‘harsh’ is...and it was considered, by the majority of our legislators to be enforcible USA law. Though the Supreme court disagreed, for all the good it did when corruption is running the government.
My ancestors were given less than a month’s notice to vacate their homes, remove their belongings and ‘sever all ties to this country’ before the Georgia Militia or the US Army removed them by force from their uncountable generations occupied homes in 1839. And I mean ‘homes’, beautiful, European styled HOMES and groomed, productive plantations. But they didn’t get to ‘sell’ them. Instead they were ’removed’ by foot and wagon, in the dead of winter, with what they could carry. First they were locked in the livestock stockades of Forts for weeks sometimes, in the rain, with no shelter. They traveled for over a thousand miles. About 4 thousand...A quarter of them died.
And now, these modern day ‘Ameri-Indian’, Muslim, whatever invaders want us to believe we are being ‘harsh’??? Sorry.

I been watching MSNBC fret about the AZ bill and talking about all the negative consequences it will bring, But is likely to happen is the bill will drive illegals to New Mexico.
What we want is them to go home on their own. How to do that? Stop rewarding them.
1) An illegal never gets to vote in America, never. No path to voting.
2) You cut taxpayer benefits to illegals rather than a VAT on us to give them tax credits as Obama is planning. If they file for benefits, goodbye!
3) Police catching illegals using normal probable cause to pick them up (speeding) and turn over to immigration.
4) Illegals are not allow to sue secretly, when they file a civil lawsuit against americans they get picked up and handed to immigration missing court dates.
Democrats will have serious political problems if they try an amnesty bill now.
