Fred Malek: Palin’s not doing what she needs to do to run

Who’s Fred Malek and why should you care? Think of him as sort of the Beltway-insider equivalent of John Ziegler. Like Ziegs, he’s a Sarahcuda defender par excellence, and like Ziegs, he doesn’t think she’s angling for a serious shot at the presidency. From a WaPo profile last year describing him as “the authority on Palin”:

Huckabee is far worse on the border issue than McCain.
Good thing the Huckester will never be president.

Gee, what’s Man complaining about Palin and illegals for when he supports Huck? That’s pathetic!

Huckabee had the toughest anti-amnesty platform this side of Hunter/Tancredo. But you knew that.

That's not the point, now, is it Pissant.

Point is, Hunter endorsed an open-borders, big-government pretend conservative.

Now what was McCain again????

Only for 2008 Pissant.

Absolutely worthless from a position of reliability.

Just like Mitt, he would and does say anything to get elected.

As with all people, it's what they do that is more important than what they say.

From a Tancredo site

http://tancredo4prez.blogspot.com/2007/07/mike-huckabee-amnesty-supporter.html

Mike Huckabee: Amnesty Supporter

Former Arkansas governor and current Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee supports “creating a pathway where people can have a form of restitution to make things right, to understand that laws have to be obeyed or some consequences have to be applied.” He believes it “makes more sense than trying to deport 12 million people or build a 700 million, ehr...700 billion dollar fence.”

Mike Huckabee says that “I tend to think that the rational approach is to find a way to give people a pathway to citizenship.”

The quotes from Mike Huckabee contained in this blog entry can all be viewed at a webpage about Mike Huckabee maintained by Americans for Better Immigration.

Though Huckabee denies that he supports amnesty, his words indicate that he does support amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Mike Huckabee is wrong. Millions of illegal aliens that deliberately violated a federal criminal immigration law (Title 8, Section 1325 of the United States Code) should not be given a pathway to citizenship.

There are dozens more like that and worse.

Mike Huckabee supports Amnesty and Illegal Immigration
Huckabee was a vocal supporter of the McCain-Kennedy Senate Amnesty Bill.

Huckabee stated that amnesty proposals were a “chance to make up for past racism.” Huckabee went on to say “I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than [the “racist” way] we did before.” http://cofcc.org/?page_id=756

Huckabee attacked for being liberal on immigration.

From Ann Coulter’s new column.

On illegal immigration, Huckabee out out in left field. He has compared illegal aliens to slaves brought here in chains from Africa, saying, “I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before.”

Toward that end, when an Arkansas legislator introduced a bill that would prevent illegal aliens from voting and receiving state benefits, Huckabee denounced the bill, saying it would rile up “those who are racist and bigots.”

Well, he went from squish to hardcore border fence/no amnesty supporter. In the meantime, Romney was still babbling on about hi tech fences and McCain was still pimping Amnesty. So tell me how Romney and McCain were preferable.

And Romney had a similiar turn-around on many policy positions and now so has McCain.

All three of them convert to conservatism when it suits their purposes and Hunter knew this as well and still endorsed Huckabee.

So, again pissant, what is the real difference?

Furthermore, Sarah had already endorsed McCain before JD jumped in the race.

No sh*t, He flip flopped. I know more about Huck’s weak record than anyone here, since I was one to help expose it, long before Coulter got on that wagon (while fellating Mitt, I might add) Huck adopted Hunter’s position. As he should and to this day still supports. Once Again, How was flipper and McCain better?

I would have preferred that Hunter had stayed in the race until the end.

I would have had an actual choice then.

ANd you believe he is sincere?

Have you not been paying attention?

Paying attention to the calculated finger-in-the wind positions he has been taking even this year?

The point is, neither of the three, Mitt, Huckabee, or McCain are worth spit!

The real point of this whole discussion, is that Hunter made a calculated POLITICAL decision, not a principled decision, but a POLITICAL decision, because that is all he had left at that point.

The point is that purists and those with agendas do nothing to further conservatism.

Their out jousting at windmills and accomplish squat.
