I was sent the following email: Joe, I am asking for prayers for our son, Ed. He took off in our minivan and drove off in the early hours of this morning. He was diagnosed is under treatment and is very upset with the diagnosis and treatments. The police have him as critical missing meaning that they won't treat it as a criminal case (no guns drawn) when they catch up with him. If anyone has advice on what we can do, please let me know-we are desperate. Loveness He was driving a Dark blue Dodge Grand Caravan License number 5 W V V 176. She’s worried sick and just wants to know he is OK. We are in the Southern California area but it has been 3 or 4 days so he could far away by now. I know the Freepers will keep an eye out for this missing young man. If anyone gets any information please call 1(909)622-9519.
Any pictures or description of him would be helpful?

I suppose it is probably too late now, but I would report the car as being stolen and take the risk being charged with filing a false police report.
Does the kid have a facebook account, twitter account or anything like that where you could post something so his friends would be on the lookout for him?

A sheriff told me, recently, that as an adult, a person who chooses to seperate from his family, has the right not to be found. They do not pursue such searches.
