Bachmann plays favorites in Florida, takes a pass on Arizona GOP primary

Good for you, Ms. Bachmann.
I want to try to fully get behind her, but she didn’t tell the truth about what she said here. She told Hannity point blank that Obama, Pelosi and reid were the most radical leaders in the US’s history. Totally true. But when Wallace asked her if she really meant that about them, she hedged and started talking about the “policies” being incredibly radical. Also true. But that hedging, or reluctance to stand by exactly and precisely what she did say is what plays badly on camera. It makes HER look like she herself is afraid of underscoring what she easily said to Hannity, and what she says in fund-raising friendly venues.
She has her heart in the right place. But she looked scared to say what she felt here, and that’s bad.
“I want to try to fully get behind her, but she didnt tell the truth about what she said here.”
I’m not ‘fully behind’ any of them yet.
That’s why Sarah is so good at staying on the “outside” of the elected officials...she can say any truths she wants! Don’t you think she’s “testing the waters” for the rest of them? Think Michelle did quite well...where are the elected Repubs saying as much?
She’s probably the most outspoken, principled pol we have at the federal level right now—Jim DeMint is even more politic. She stuck to her guns just fine by redirecting the focus to their policies. She was smooth, calm, on point and credible. (I love that she can point out having been an int’l tax attorney!) She’s walking a fine line of sticking to her positions while not coming across as a crazy. Just who/what better do you want?
What's “hedging her bets” about that?
If I say Mr A is the most radical president we ever had, what I am saying is that Mr A's policies are the most radical we've ever had. Same thing. You are splitting hairs here.
Yes. Very good interview too.
If we can afford to nitpick one of the most conservative representatives that we have, government must be pretty conservative in our country presently.
I just hope she is in a safe district and she can win reelection this year. Does anyone have any insider knowledge into how well she is doing in that respect?
If you want to help:
I’ll wait for Cheney Bachman thank you.
So Bachmann rightfully kept Wallace on the issue at hand, the actual FACTS about the radical Obama.
It was a very good maneuver on her part.
You’re absolutely right on all counts.
Michele was brilliant.
My hope and prayer is that Pelosi gets voted out of office instead. Hopefully this all backfires on her and well get rid of her instead.
Instead of “hedging the truth” of what she previously said, Bachmann’s being careful to speak of the radical POLITICS of the Socialists she mentions. Instead of speaking about their character or their whole being.
This is b/c the new “controversy” is violent people threatening Pelosi, etc. The FBI just arrested some guy for threatening to murder Pelosi.
In other words, Bachmann doesn’t want to get caught up in the “you’re stirring up HATE and inciting violence” routine that the Socialists are trying to pin on conservatives.
When you’re on TV in front of 300 million people, you must be very careful what you say. To avoid Socialist propaganda traps, but also for the general safety. She wants to stir up voter sentiment, but NOT stir up deer rifles pointed at politician XYZ.
I’d walk through fire to vote for Dick Cheney- many’s the time I wished he had been President instead of W.
