I've used commercial cat repellent, cayenne pepper, and now just put out an electronic device that's supposed to detect motion and emit an ultrasonic sound to repel them.
I'm furious, I spend 2 wasted hours every Saturday to just clean up the cat scat in my front yard.
Any suggestions out in Freeperland for chasing away the cats without hurting them that I haven't already thought of.
I think with feral animals of any type, it’s more than just a lawn—it’s a health hazard.
Round worm can blind humans, cause brain damage, thrash the lungs, even kill and it’s passed through feces.
There are many diseases that can be passed to your pet, too.
It is RESPONSIBLE to catch these animals and move them away from people or take them to a no-kill shelter.
If it’s a known animal that is vaccinated and a nuisance, talk to your neighbor and if that doesn’t work—just get a water gun.
It is NOT cruel to protect your family and pets from feral animals in a humane way.
It is CRUEL if you don’t, it’s derelict.

You got that right.
That could explain Progressive Democrats. LOL
There appears to be a lot of cat owners among ‘em!
get some cheap outdoor small speakers, set them up around the property, make or find snake hissing sounds, play it on a low continuous recording.
I have cats and over the years I have found any type of sudden hissing noise sends them running like you would not believe.
Or get some small tubing, heck even a cheap garden hose, prick small holes almost but not quite as much as a soaker hose, hook up to an air supply with an electric dump valve, have it send a high pressure burst every 20-30 minutes.
Agree! In fact I've never known one who doesn't cover his feces. Interesting if true.
You’re welcome to come coleedt the crap for me.

I use to let ground hogs go till I told my neighbor. He was having problems with ground hogs undermining his barn walls with their burrowing...When I caught a g. hog, I use to call him and he would dispatch it...I had no animosity against ground hogs, he did... Baby possum I'd put in the car and drive at least 10 miles away and let them go...
Adult possum would raid my geese nest of eggs...farm living was sure fun...along with a flock of Angoras a cow we ended up eating and a ewe...hoof trimming, delousing, worming and shearing, then separating up to 500 pounds of mohair by quality....twice a year...fun, fun, fun, loved it..people like fawn probably believe there food is grown in styrene packages and all vegetables grow in cans....
Plenty of coyotes around here already so I'm sure they get they're share. Owls take them too. I've never seen it happen but I've heard it when it does.
Agree totally, and the one following in the next reply isn't any better.
Any animal running loose can carry rabies...good to get rid of them by any way possible...

Years ago I had the most beautiful, smart cat.
She would play hide-and-seek, would open the cabinet and get the lid off those cat treats—the ones in a paper can type deal and chow down!
She also made this crazy clicking sound when she saw a moth.
I married and one evening I was laying in bed with the hubby and she jumped up at my feet, looked as if she was crouching to run up and pounce me—she pooped right there in between my legs, on the covers!
Happened more than once and she had never missed her liter box before this, I figured she HATED me being married.
Jealous! ha!
Well, you’re about 40 posts ahead in the FRinternecine war of ‘10.
Never thought I’d see another one of these.
A dog?
Old fashioned spring mouse traps?
Citrus scented air freshener?
I have many birds; theyre expensive pets that Ive had for decades. They cannot protect themselves from predators that responsibility is on me. So if I have to catch feral cats and release them elsewhere to accomplish that goal I will. If that makes me heartless or an sob in the minds of some so be it
Don’t hook a wire to 120 or 240 volts; use an electric fence charger if you go that route. The former could prove lethal to a human.
