I don’t think so.
The cage live traps do quite well. While trying to capture a skunk, I caught a cat twice.....same cat. The problem is what do you do with a stupid cat.
Teach it with a bb gun
It would be something to try. Especially flower beds. It’s pretty in landscaping instead of mulch that has to be replaced after awhile.
Thats funny, when I had the farm a neighbor caught a skunk when he was going after ground hogs....He wrapped himself in a large tarp with only a peep hole...he was able to release the skunk and run like hell...
If done discreet, you would never know
Yep, I do gripe about bird poop on my car..gripe it about it tons! (I also gripe driving my car through mud puddles *car freak*)
I hate it when they crap in the pool, too!
Though I don’t have as many problems with the car, the pool not so lucky.
I also think twice putting in fresh bird feed (they poop on the feeder) and cleaning the bird houses, wild bird poop can carry disease.
A friend of my moms got very sick from that.
The thing with cats roaming free, dogs, too—one never knows if they are vaccinated or what disease they may carry and they can pass it to your animals.
I was told to keep my new pup away from animals that I’m not sure have been vaccinated— until she has her 3rd series of shots, parvo is rampant right now or so the vet warned us.
Learn to live with it. Best not to piss them off.
with a child you need something bigger than a coyote, have you thought of a pack of wolves....:O)
A roaming cat is not a pet. It is a predator
Then, maybe the wrong guy would pay. But, I doubt it.
It is the reason my cat never goes outside. People are mean. People drop them off in my neighborhood. In 15 years we have rescued 19, spayed them, had their broken legs fixed, and found them homes. Once I stopped letting mine go outside they quit coming around. And my gardener is much happier.
I now donate to the local no kill cat rescue and if anymore come around I will be calling them for help. I did my service. *wink*
Have you seen the Cat House on the Kings? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwM6f0liHpo
Those would be cool for protecting campaign signs as well. Hook up a video camera to catch the fun and enjoy it with your morning coffee.
Get some moth balls. Get the box that is all crumbled up moth balls. You have to reapply them after rain, but it will keep them away! Just sprinkle around your yard, maybe just the edges will do??
And Michael Vicks dogs were natural born killers.
Siberian Husky. Cat vacuum with 4 paws.
Downside is, they’ll try to eat every cat in the neighborhood, whether on your land or not.
I use a motion activated water squirting “scare crow” in my garden area. The alley cats learn real fast not to enter the area or they are going to be spayed with a loud sprinkler. When they are learning their lesson they move real fast and somehow get through and over the fence. Very funny! About $50.

Find some wild violets and get them growing in your yard. We get a couple of visiting rabbits every year and they seem infatuated with the violets. Won’t touch anything else. Of course, the violets will spread but think of it as a ground cover. lol
That would have been great on Youtube.
