Red Skelton--from his television show in 1969 WOW ! Just think, he said this on his television show in 1969 and really had no clue it would ever come about. SAD, isn't it? What a wonderful and worthwhile clip to watch and share with all your friends and acquaintances!
He was very prescient and ahead of his time.

ARE there any actors or comedians like Red Skelton now?! I’ve not seen any...
Gary Sinise ( the one who played Lt. Dan in Forest Gump ) is one of those I can think of. Other than that, I am hard pressed to think of one.
As I said, they don’t make comedians like Red Skelton anymore.
One can be funny without being course or dirty. Unfortunately, clean comedy is getting to be a lost art.
Gone are the likes of Red Skelton, Bob Hope and even the wit of Groucho Marx.
You have to curse, tell scatological or sexually explicit jokes to make people laugh today.
Even more rare are actors who truly love what America stands for.
As a child, my family and I watched Red Skelton every week. Those were indeed fun shows.
Years after he had retired, he appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Carson remarked that Skelton looked really good for a man his age and asked if he worked out. “Nah, Skelton said, “about the only exercise I ever get is being pallbearer for my friends who exercised.”
You’re right — I like and respect Gary Sinise. I’ve also heard good things about Kelsey Grammer (after he got staright nearly 20 years ago).
bttt
whilst checking out youtube for a clip from the old hollywood squares gameshow, i found a clip of paul lynde on the old dean martin show. this led me to the dean martin roasts. there i found ronald reagan as both roaster and roastee. don rickles was a riot. that man was fearless and his timing was impeccable. reagan was busting up laughing at this guy. they just don’t make ‘em like that anymore.
