I've got to admit, while I like Palin I never really considered her as a real threat in do well at the top of a ticket. I've never really heard her expound deeply on a topic.

However, her discussion of the energy/nuclear issues at the end of her speech proved that she really understand the energy issue and it not limited to Oil. I'm impressed. She needs to do more of this on a wide range of topics.

It’s funny because in previous speeches when she brought it up she said it correctly. I remember thinking of that because Bush always pronounced it ‘nucular’. But she’s right on with everything else. Just needs to go back to the right pronunciation.
