The article is missing the fact that the nut case was telling her that he was going to kill her.

Remember when the Left used to complain about G-Men “instigating” activities?

Funny thing is, no one believes that the actions of the Weather Underground were designed by government agents trying to discredit “the (pro-North Vietnamese) anti-war movment”.

But it’s okay when they do it to slur domestic organizations that respect our Constitutional form of government and don’t preach sedition (for a system like Communism).

Wasn’t Murray elected by several questionable “recounts” and then they suddenly stopped when she was finally ahead?

“They need to be strung up, and I mean put the gallows. I will take no prisoners. … And I don’t care what they think. They want to come throw me in jail, they can go ahead and do that. That’s fine.”

Looks like he is getting his wish.

Well, that would just be the throwing him in jail part of his wish.

Oh, go ahead and complain to them all you want. Just be sure you leave your name and address and phone number so the FBI can find you without spending taxpayer dollars to track you down.

From the article:
>The government agency makes further complaints against Wilson:
>
> (a) Wilson repeatedly expressed his strong dislike for the recent health-care reform legislation (i.e. “I hate it. I hate it!”)

So, now it’s illegal or “threatening” to express your dislike of some legislation? When was the 1st Amendment’s guarantee of the right to petition the government for redress repealed?

> (b) Wilson confirmed that he regularly placed calls to Senator Murray’s and Senator Maria Cantwell’s offices. (i.e., “I call Murray every day. I call Cantwell. They don’t like hearing from me. … I call them every day.”)

So, consistency and tenacity are illegal or frowned upon now?

> (c) Wilson referred to Senators Murray and Cantwell as the “Pike Street whores,” as does the caller in the voicemail messages;

How is this threatening? Insulting, maybe because it’s true... but not threatening.

> (d) Wilson also referred to Senator Murray as “sneaker shoes Murray,” a phrase that also was stated on some of the voicemail messages; and

Your point?

> (e) Wilson made the following remarks, which are similar to the rhetoric in many of the voicemail messages.
>“They need to be strung up, and I mean put the gallows.

Treason is defined, partially, as giving aid and comfort to the enemy; what could give more aid and comfort to the enemy than completely ignoring the Constitution and ‘due [legal] process’ of the country?

The traditional penalty of Treason _IS_ hanging.

>I will take no prisoners. … And I don’t care what they think. They want to come throw me in jail, they can go ahead and do that. That’s fine.”

So, how is this threatening? If he’d said “I’m going to capture them all...” he would be called for making a threat of kidnapping; as is there’s been no mention of violent _crimes_ against the senator.

Saying “I believe you are a liar and a traitor; I will not rest until I see you hanging in the gallows” is NOT a crime at all. {And it is more direct than what he said.}

My understanding is that this guy had it coming — he was a nut case issuing death threats against a sitting Senator. The FBI should be conducting investigations of death threats ... and undercover operations (i.e. pretending to be someone you’re not) are not objectionable to catch the threatening individual.

This sounds like a legit criminal investigation of a legit criminal.

Weathermen’s Ticking Time Bomb

University employees and high ranking government and media employees are facing growing difficulties protecting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ayers.

"[S]peaking publicly for the first time about the investigation, former FBI agents have told Village Voice Media the basis for their belief that the Weather Underground was behind McDonnell’s murder. The agents have revealed that two credible eyewitnesses — both former left-wing radicals tied to the Weathermen — gave detailed statements to investigators in the 1970s alleging that Dohrn and Howard Machtinger, another member of the group, were personally involved in organizing the deadly attack."
