Palins speech is promised to be more than just another public appearance by the incredibly popular former Vice Presidential candidate of the Republican Party. At the beginning of April, President Barack Obama announced a new energy policy that would open up the waters off of the coast of Virginia for drilling.
Governor Palin was not enamored of Obamas policy shift as Reuters reported, Palin said on her Twitter page that she agreed with House Republican leader John Boehner that Obamas plan is aimed at getting his job-killing, energy-depleting, burdensome cap and trade legislation through Congress.
Reuters also reported that Palin will address Obamas energy policy directly in her speech to the SRLC in New Orleans, which could make this speech one of those defining moments in history that sets the future course of a nation.
Palins supporters see her as both a potential presidential candidate and the de-facto leader of a national grass roots movement for change and a return to a strict adherence to the U.S. Constitution. This speech, wherein Sarah Palin will specifically address President Obamas energy policy, may very well be her act of throwing down the gauntlet to officially challenge the status quo thus setting the stage for a dramatic 2012 election. ...

Turn the tide, Sarah, TURN THE TIDE!! WoooooT! :-)
Looking forward to this HISTORIC GAME CHANGING SPEECH!!!
She’s still ascending. Obama is in decline. I already want to refer to him as a former President. In fact, I want to refer to him entirely in the past tense.
$523 BILLION MEDICARE CUT & GUT, HOW’S THAT FOR HOPE & CHANGE
It is my new bumper sticker!
She's the only one in America with the moral authority to get people to believe the truth about Alaskan oil.
“SLRC”???
SRLC == Southern Republican Leadership Conference
Southern Republican Leadership Conference
Many consider it more important than CPAC...it’s the beginning cattle call for all potential Presidential candidates although Mitt isn’t going.
And I don’t think Ron Paul is there either. Is anyone carrying her speech live?
Southern Republican Leadership Conference
No doubt Fox, CSPAN and the other two news networks will.
I think Sarah is going to speak at 1:00 pm EST. If you look at the SRLC website they have Sarah listed first. They have Sarah, Bobby and Steele (I think) listed from 12-3:30 CST.
CSPAN is starting there live coverage to nite at 7:30 EST.
Steele? Oy.
Palin endorsed Steele last night on Hannity, doncha know?
No, sort of........Sarah said that he is up for reelection in about a month and if people think that they need to go in a new direction then so be it....
Blech.
"I support Michael Steele".
"I'm glad he's leader of the party (administratively)."
"I think he's doing a great job"
she did? endorse Steele?
Hey Rin...do you know the Freeper name of the guy who is so good at finding computer streams of events? I would love to hear Sarah but am cable deprived . We do get CSPAN but apparently they are only going to cover evening events at the southern leadership convention.
