Folks I do not know how to say this more kindly but Jamal Javanjee and Pamela Geller are not trusted or accurate sources of information on Rifqa Bary and her case. They also do not represent Rifqa or her views and neither one of them are Rifqa Bary spokespersons. Rifqa is in the hands of some of the best legal counsel available.

The attorney who would not identify muslims as a threat to Rifqa's life has labelled her friends Pastor Jamal Jivanjee and the fearsome Pamela Geller as threats to Rifqa's well-being. Jamal's contact with Rifqa has been terminated. This is the doofuss lawyer who failed to keep Rifqa in Florida.

Why hasn’t this lawyer been terminated? Is ALCJ helping on this? He should be brought up on ethics charges JUST for that ONE Facebook post. He has proven he does not have his client’s best interest in mind and that post, imo is a breach of ethics.

Well... Let's not forget that this is a response by Ms. Geller to Stemberger, and not an unbiased report. I read her entire summary on her blog, and if accurate, Stemberger is a doofus. His defense would be, of course, that Geller is the doofus: that her version is wrong, thus making his statement a needed clarification that is (somehow) in his client's best interest.

Sadly, despite our personal prayers on Rifqa Bary's behalf, the U.S. court system does not have much of an interest in saving her life, since she and her family are here illegally. The fact that she is physically here is the only basis for jurisdiction; if they were all deported, whether Rifqa Bary should live or die would be the problem of her home country. I don't know that ACLJ is involved in the case, but FReepers should continue to pray, no matter what. One court has already found that she is in no danger - all it takes for her to disappear forever is for this court to make that finding.
