Whole cities will be designed around the I-pad!

“Raise the dead”? Hell....just give it a freakin’ USB port, for Pete’s sake. That’d be a start.

A geriatric I-phone.

I think the Segway would’ve been huge at about $1000. At $5000 it’s been a non-issue.

Funny how I’ve managed to get through life without ever buying an Apple product. I guess I don’t know how empty my life really is. /s

Hmmmm, maybe if Apple purchased the rights to the Segway and marketed it as the iPutt.....

dont know. A friend of mine fell off one. he didnt like it at all. I've only been on one very briefly one time and I found it harder than it looks, but I assumed it would get much easier with a little practice.

Shhhh, cost is no object to the iZombies. I actually have an iPhone and an iMac. Like any other products, they have good points and bad. One of the bad is definitely the price. I will say this: When I first heard about iPad, I expected its pricing to start at about a grand and go up, so they did surprise me a bit. But it's still too much. And I don't think it's any kind of Game Changer in the world of computing, either. It's a pretty gizmo that lands somewhere between the iPhone and a tablet PC. I just happen not to believe the world of computing was screaming for that void to be filled. We shall see.

It also lets you recharge the battery. I am assuming you want to load pictures directly from your camera to the iPad. Is that your desire?

But I expect Apple will go back to the drawing board and produce a second generation that fixes the things their customers are complaining about. While Apple's supporters may want to wear blinders, no company that wants to stay in business does.

I’m not hanging around this thread. If the Apple “enthusiasts” get wind of the heresy on here, there will be blood. Scatter!

When will apple introduce the iFail? Maybe just for Barack?

While Apple's supporters may want to wear blinders, no company that wants to stay in business does. Yup, we agree again. Aside from cultivating an attitude of snobbery and arrogance, there's certainly plenty to admire about Apple from a business perspective. They had dwindled down to a tiny niche player and they've most definitely changed that. In addition to the staggering success of iPod, they've brought the Mac brand back in a huge way.

It looks like, from the reports coming in, that the iPad may be breaking the records for sales for the iPhone when it was introduced. We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s close enough right now to be giving the wild success of the iPhone a real “run for its money”... :-)
