When the Part Represents the Whole... and When It Doesn't
My seething mind | April 4, 2010 | Moi

Okay, let's pretend that there really was a racist Tea-Partier throwing around verbal abuse at one of the rallies. There's no proof that I've seen yet. Video cameras all over the place, but not one that can produce any such thing, but liberals have declared it to be so, therefore it must be so. Why, it's as certain as if it were reported by BBC and NPR both together! (And these are not sources to be questioned!) So the question is, what does it mean?

According to the liberal world, it means that the underlying, barely hidden foundation of conservatism is, of course, race-based hatred. Thus they extrapolate that resistance to, say, the health care bill that is likely to raise our insurance rates, raise our taxes, scare doctors out of the medical profession, increase the amount of government red tape, increase the IRS's power over your personal life, and further enforce the idea in the public's mind that now not only is educating your children the job of the government, but also keeping you healthy... is merely racism. You just hate blacks, and it's a black guy who signed this bill, so you hate it. If Bush had done it, you'd have loved it.

Never mind that when Bush poured millions into education, most conservatives yelped their heads off. Liberals tend to project, and since the Patriot Act was a deadly horror under Bush but not even worthy of comment when re-authorized (twice) by Obama, they figure we operate the same way. We don't, but try explaining that to a liberal. Tip: use short words.

Back to my point: the point is that the actions of a few extremists are very revealing. They show the evil, ugly foundation. It's a crack in the facade, you see. One nasty Tea-Partier is merely the tip of the iceberg, and now you see the true face of conservatism.

HOWEVER... 500 or more suicide bombers say nothing about the fundamental nature of Islam. Why? Why, because it would be disadvantageous to liberal views to suggest that some religions are worse than others. Because that suggests that some are better. And that might put Christianity and Judaism in a more positive light. And that might put Judeo-Christian culture, also known as Western Civilization, in a better light. And THAT might suggest that there is something worth conserving in Judeo-Christian culture. And that word "conserving" might remind a few voters that conservatism is not based on hatred. It's based on the idea of conserving something worth saving. Like independence, freedom, and individual responsibility.

So remember: one nasty Tea Partier proves everything about conservatism, 500 suicide bombers prove nothing about Islam. Say it over and over until you believe it.

A perfectly reasoned response to the smearing of the Tea Party patriots who object to the wholesale dismissal of Constitutional restrictions upon the federal government.

If opponents of Obamacare do so because he is black, why did they oppose it when Hillary Clinton tried it? I know that Bill Clinton was the first black president, but I have never heard that Hillary was the first black first lady.

Well duh! didnt you know? You have to look at that as percentage based...

500 suicide bombers out of millions of Islams rounds to 0%..

and since deep inside most people know that government is good for them, they just haven’t realized it yet. So really, only about 1000 people really are conservative.
1/1000 = .1%

So you see, that one nasty tea partier really is alot more representative than those ‘few’ radical Islams, who don’t really represent Islam cause they just misread what Allah said, right? Its not really even their fault!

word.

Exposing hypocrisy is losing some of its sporting value.
With such a perfect lady’s writing, and so many others, it’s getting to be low hanging fruit/fish-in-a-barrel easy.

Well done lady! Bravo!
