In a most unusual offensive for a U.S. President, Barack Obama has chosen to go after the citizens of his own country by smearing his critics and opponents.
In one interview, Obama referred to the Tea Party core group as a bunch of 'birthers' who do not believe he is eligible for public office. In another, he claimed that the rhetoric used by his critics, even Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and others is 'inciting certain persons to violence.'
And in yet another interview he decreed that all of his critics should 'tone it down.'
Translation--sit down and shut up.
Sarah Palin, another great American who has been accused by Obama supporters of 'inciting violence,' stated plainly, 'We are NOT going to sit down and shut up.'
And Rush Limbaugh also had a rather sharp response to Obama:

Rush Limbaugh also had a rather sharp response to Obama:
“I have yet to have a down year at the EIB Network,” Limbaugh responds. “I and most Americans do not believe President Obama is trying to do what’s best for the country. Never in my life have I seen a regime like this, governing against the will of the people, purposely. I have never seen the media so supportive of a regime amassing so much power. And I have never known as many people who literally fear for the future of the country.”
The point, Limbaugh says, is not that listeners are feeling anxiety about the economy, although many undoubtedly are. It’s that they are feeling anxiety about the Obama agenda.
BTW, we took Rush’s advice and filled out AMERICAN for “race”.

sit down and shut up If critics don't become more plentiful by the day and much much louder, this nation is through.

I wonder what Obama plans to do after his term is over. He’s becoming a short-timer now. Funny, I find I don’t care what he says anymore. He’s a soon-to-be former President. Just think - less than 3 years max, unless of course we get the great pleasure of referring to him as prisoner number _______.

“UNUSUAL”
Not for this President or for the Democrat Party in general.
Smear tactics, yelling & screaming, finger pointing, name calling are just a few of the tactics in the Dem Bag O’ Tricks for decades.

If Obama had toned down the socialism, toned down the nationalizations of industries (doesn’t that make him a national socialist?), and toned down the spending by about $1.8T a year, real Americans wouldn’t have to get so hostile to the thugs in DC.

Since the number of his “critics and opponents” seems to be growing, possibly a true majority - he should keep up the insults and see how that works out for him in the long term.

This Obama must be removed. By Impeachment. Or by forced resignation due to the fact that he determines by himself the fait d’accompli that the US is uncontrollable and ungovernable due to a massive grassroots peaceful uprising, ala Solidarnosc or the Velvet Revolution or the Civil Rights Movement in the South. He is going to push the envelope. Just watch. His veneer is wearing off and sheer narcissist dictator is shing through.

UH! I thought he did not listen to radio or TV, that's what he is always saying when asked.
Me thinks he is just getting scared, just too much objection by him. Next thing you know he will send out an order to have all 3 yrs old males killed, cause you know he is KING.

I wonder what Obama plans to do after his term is over. I don't think he's come to grips with the fact that eventually his term will be over. Unless he's given some position like the Leader of the World, he may just become an alcoholic like his father.

Republicans have laid down their arms...the Kenyan scares them. Republicans don't even bother to defend us...their own supporters, Rush, the Tea Partyers, no one.

Is the Kenyan asking for Rush to be murdered?I know this; the words of a POTUS carry more weight than those of almost anyone else. When President Free Money singles out a private citizen in a negative way there is more potential for incitement than a whole chorus of talking heads saying something.

All this does is remind of what a gentleman Goerge W. Bush is.
During his years in the White House, though he had good reason to, he never uttered a single derogatory word about Bill Clinton. He always had a knowing smirk when asked about what some of the media pukes were saying about him...but like an adult...he held his tongue.
Makes me want to take a nap until 2012 when this jackass 0bama is gone.

I’ve been thinking about a way we can express nationally our refusal to sit down and shut up about this traitor. We should circulate a national petition demanding he be impeached. In its preamble we could list his abuses of power specifically, a “bill of particulars” like the Founders enumerated in the Declaration of Independence as their reasons for declaring their independence from Great Britain. Have constitutional scholars/lawyers draw them up. Put the impeachment petition on the Internet and see what the response would be or have Tea Party people organize groups to canvas neighborhoods to get signatures.
Then deliver it with great fanfare to the House, Senate, and Supreme Court. Like the Contract with America, it would specify in concrete terms why this twit is violating his oath of office to “preserve, protect, and defend the Contitution of the United States of America.”
