Unfortunately, this is NOT an April Fools' joke. No commentary is needed... just watch and lament the fact that this imbecile has a vote in the House. Wow.

Then shouldn’t he be more worried that aliens will abduct Guam?

[it could happen...it’s only 7/12/24 miles big]

By his logic, much more densely populated islands like Bermuda or Singapore should have capsized ages ago. See population density data at

Now I am scared to go to work in Manhattan.
Guam is 209 square miles and has a population of 180,000.

Manhattan is 33 square miles and has a population of over 1.6 million, not including the hundreds of thousands of commuters and tourists who are there every day.

If Guam is at risk for tipping over and capsizing, how much greater is the peril in NYC? I better start wearing my life vest to work.

My bad. For some reason I thought he was Guam’s non-voting representative. I either need to read the stories or stop posting before coffee.

Well, this tops Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee when, as she was being briefed by NASA on the latest Mars orbital survey mission, she demanded to see “where they put the flag.”

Don’t let word of that leak out... Al Qaeda could send thousands of operatives to one side of Manhattan and just flip the whole thing in one fell swoop. Let’s not give the enemy ideas...

How dare you criticize a black man for anything! How dare you compare his intellect with anyone else’s! How dare you hold him to the same standards of civilization as a white man!

That’s just Racist!!!!!

While I don’t think he actually believes the island will tip over (he was joking), I can’t stand his method of talking. He’s one of those people that takes 5 minutes to communicate information that should normally take 30 seconds. He certainly has a painfully slow and disorganized speech pattern.

I just had a great idea for a TV show. "Stupid Things Politicians Say". You could easily fill a half hour a week with this kind of video. Why haven't the networks picked up on this?

Oh wait, I know, it would feature mainly dims.

I have never in my life seen such unabashed ignorance from a member of Congress. It surpasses the video of the woman who was eager to get “some Obama money” and didn’t realize it was coming from tax revenues.

Wow! Just WOW!

Okay, add to the the list: Term limits... American History & Constitution Test... IQ Test...

Kudos to the Admiral for keeping it together.

“After only one term in office, he was elected by his colleagues to serve in the House Leadership as Southeast Regional Whip. In that capacity, he has played a key role in garnering support for key priorities such as health care reform, the Recovery Act, and legislation to reduce carbon emissions to slow climate change. One of the earliest congressional supporters of President Barack Obama, Rep. Johnson served as co-Chair of the Obama Campaign in Georgia.

“As part of the Whip Team, he played an important role in assembling votes for the historic health care reform act — the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.”

It’s not comforting to know he has a say in my future.

The best part of the entire video is seeing the Admiral succeed in not bursting out in laughter, or even a robust smile. He, indeed, kept it together most admirably :D

Joking? I watched it 3 times. It was no joke to him. He was genuinely concerned the island could and would tip because of overpopulation. This guy is what we get when we have a nation comprised of 3 groups of people: the ENTITLEMENT GROUP, the GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE GROUP, and the rest of us, the TAXAPAYING GROUP.

I think it’s painfully obvious that he really believed there was an environmental concern that the island could tip over. What’s even more disturbing is that he went on to discuss the issue of island capsizing as being a relatively new fear that is currently under the radar, comparing it to global warming a few years ago. Maybe he’ll be the “Al Gore” of island flipping... I smell an imminent Nobel Peace Prize after the release of Johnson’s film, An Inconvenient Flip, or maybe The Flipping Truth.
